Dr Organic Cocoa Butter has been sourced from the idyllic and plentiful pastures of the Dominican Republic. This illuminating and dermatologically-tested cream has been expertly designed to enrich and renew the skin.
The indigenous population of the Dominican Republic have used Cocoa Butter for millennia due to its lusciously pure and unrefined nature. Dr Organic Cocoa Butter Night Cream is enriched with a whole host of bioactive extracts such as Aloe Vera Juice, Beeswax and Date Fruit. This lightweight overnight cream is ideal for use on dry areas of skin, resulting in a satin-soft, radiant sheen.

My Experience with Dr Organic Cocoa Butter Night Cream:
The product comes in an unsealed cardboard box. There is all the necessary information needed on the box. Once you open the box, the night cream resides in a transparent glass jar with a white screw cap. The tub package makes it a little unhygienic. The product is travel-friendly, but the glass pack makes it a little heavy.
The night cream is thick and heavy. It is light brown in color. The color is a little darker than the day cream. The product has a cocoa butter fragrance. However, it is not very overpowering and it lingers around for a little while. I wish the cream has that buttery fragrance. The light fragrance also denotes that there is no unnecessary addition of fragrance.
The texture of the cream is very thick. It is very rich and knowing that it is a night cream, I thought that this is how it should be. However, this one doesn’t melt away like the day cream. When applied, it is really thick on the skin and takes a lot of time to get absorbed onto the skin and till then, it sits on top of the skin which is kind of irritating. The product takes a minimum of 5-10 minutes to completely sink into the skin and because of this you need to wait before going to bed. The product also feels a little sticky before absorption and can attract dust onto the face. The product however, after absorbing can hardly be felt on the skin. It creates a smooth matte finish. The product is tailor made for dry skin, but it is also suitable for combination and normal skin types too. In the morning, you can feel the skin feeling very soft and smooth. There is added moisture in the skin and skin feels much replenished. The cream also makes the skin very supple. The product doesn’t cause any breakouts or irritation. However, I would not recommend this if you have oily or acne-prone skin due to its richness. The product intensively moisturizes and nourishes the skin.
The hydration provided by the cream goes on for very long time and since it is the whole night and I feel my skin moisturized even in the morning. I can say that it goes on for a good 15-20 hours providing moisture to the skin. The product helps in getting rid of any dry flakes from the skin. The product also adds a subtle radiance to the skin. The product’s main claim is to prevent dryness and it doesn’t do anything more than that. Overall, it is a good choice if you have dry skin, but I only wish that the texture could be improved! So summing up

- Unhygienic tub package.
- The texture is thick and not very good to work with.
- Takes very long to absorb onto the skin.

Would I recommend or repurchase Dr Organic Cocoa Butter Night Cream?
If you have dry skin, it is a good product however, I do not like the texture and might not repurchase it again.
