Dr. Weil for Origins Conditioning Lip Balm Review

Dr. Weil for Origins Conditioning Lip Balm

By Shruti Sheladia

Hello,

The winter in United States has been quite brutal, especially for my lips. I have extremely chapped lips, and the wind and snow this past winter has just made it worse. I’m always on the hunt for a lip balm that doesn’t just work temporarily but actually heals my dry lips. I think I may have found my holy grail lip product!

Claims:

“This highly emollient lip healer with turmeric seriously helps heal dryness and rapidly restores softness and smoothness to the overly parched lips”

My take on the Dr. Weil for Origins Conditioning Lip Balm:

I was a bit surprised that this lip balm consisted turmeric. Being a South Asian it kind of excited me to see turmeric in my lip product. I was expecting a bright yellow/orange lip, but it was clear. When I first applied this lip balm it felt thick and creamy. I’m not a fan of lip balms that slip and slide around my mouth area like Vaseline. This was just perfect. The shape of the lip balm is an oblong shape which was nice. It has a very mild turmeric smell which I didn’t mind at all. After using this for 2 weeks I noticed that the actual condition of my lips was changing. Even when I didn’t apply the lip balm, my lips looked much softer and smoother. This isn’t just a lip balm, but an actual lip treatment!

I also loved that this lip balm consisted of natural products. I always try to go with natural options with all my skin care.
