  1. Jo…absolutely right..thanks for this new section…Rati you are a fabulous style diva…u looking stunning in all your pics…absolutely spot on…nothing less…nothing more… πŸ™‚

  2. I know India disappointed big time πŸ™ and worst part is people are blaming Anushka Sharma for it. I hate such type of misogynist thinking.

    1. The blame is probably not unfounded Pallabi.

When Anushka came, cameramen started focussing on her and the big screens on the ground started showing Anushka again and again while Virat was playing. And no matter how cool you are, seeing your girlfriend coming on the screen repeatedly along with people waving hands and cheering at her is distracting, specially so when the batsman is under so much pressure. That shot was only because of lack of focus in Kohli. He might have still played that shot and got out even if Anushka wasn’t there but we’d never know.

And after Virat Kohli went away, the batting order just collapsed.

      1. Et tu Sanjeev ji!! I agree to disagree here πŸ™‚ I don’t think Virat is distracted by Anushka, he is a trained player. They are trained to eliminate all distractions and focus on the game. I guess the Aussie cricketers brought their girl friends/spouses to the match too. And don’t you think he didn’t expect all this camera focussing and crowd waving/shouting for Anushka would happen when he decided to bring her to the stadium? I think he lost for a bigger reaaon than just Anushka. This is purely my personal opinion ji πŸ™‚

        1. As I said we’d never know for sure. I’m not a cricket fan so I’m ambivalent anyways. πŸ™‚

Trained player thing is not valid under such high pressure. And even a bit of distraction proves to be too much. Also, most of the cricketers would have bought their wives or girlfriends, but they are not celebrities so cameramen didn’t focus on them too much nor the crowed cheered upon seeing them on the big screen on the ground. Kohli might have expected the crowd cheering and everything but I’m sure he would never accept to himself that he would get distracted.

But I’m an outsider who doesn’t watch cricket much and it seems weird to me that one moment they were showing Anushka so much on TV and ground screens with so much loud cheer and the next moment Kohli was gone.

Mind you, I’m not saying it’s Anushka’s fault and I simply abhor what jokes happened on Twitter. But the underlying feeling of Indian cricket fans that Kohli got distracted because of Anushka may not be wrong. Even then, it is Kohli who is to be blamed if he got distracted. His job was to focus on the game.

          1. I accept your point Sanjeev ji. Too many people to blame like media, virat, the general thinking etc etc. I just feel bad for Anshuka. It is not fair that a woman will be blamed for a team’s failure. She was just there to cheer for him like a devoting gf. Anyway the whole team is to be blamed.

          2. Totally agree Sanjeev ji..Virat is the one who should take the blame. It is not just enough to have a celebrity girlfriend, one should be capable and cool enough to take the stress that comes along with it…just like you πŸ˜€

  3. I was upset about the match but seeing Dhoni tearing up, disheartened me to no end πŸ™
Jomol, you exactly know hoe to light things up. Looking at Rati’s pics, is such a treat to eyes. Thanks for this post. Very cute I must say πŸ™‚

and as far as CWC goes… #wewillgetitback πŸ™‚

    1. Jomol, I love this post. Rati is gorgeous as ever.

You know, I didn’t watch the world cup this time not even yesterday’s match because my DH dampened my spirits saying the semifinals and finals would be fixed and definitely India won’t be winning. He says this is all a big business, all priorly fixed, blah blah and then I would lose my interest in watching the game but he happily follows every single match :-/

  4. Jomol,

    I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedddddddd your post! πŸ™‚

Rati, please spill the beans on how you carry everything so perfectly that i feel they are tailor made for you! It doesn’t work with me at all!!!

You never stop inspiring me πŸ˜€

  5. Well..at the end of the day, what shall be..shall be!
And it’s not that our team was never born to lose..obviously.
Nevertheless..we love the men in blue & always will πŸ˜€
    Btw, i love this segment too…lots..really <3 :*
