Ducray Anaphase Stimulating Cream Shampoo Review

Dear Beauties,

Remember in my post Curatio’s Triflow Hair Conditioner, I had mentioned my dermatologist had recommended a shampoo and a conditioner since I was suffering from more than usual hair fall.  Today, I will be reviewing the same shampoo for you all, which is Ducray’s Anaphase Stimulating Cream Shampoo.

My Experience with Ducray Anaphase Stimulating Cream Shampoo:

I was prescribed this shampoo by my dermatologist since my hair fall had increased and the roots had become loose! I used this shampoo along with Triflow conditioner regularly for a month. First of all, its not easy to find this shampoo in the local chemists shops.  I could not find it anywhere and finally had to request my chemist to get it for me from somewhere! But this problem has now been resolved because its available online!

tube

The shampoo comes in a standard white flip cap squeeze tube and contains 100 ml of product. The shampoo is pale white in color and has a very creamy texture. I wet my hair and then apply this shampoo all over the scalp and massage for 2 minutes.  I let it stand for another 2 minutes for it to work on the scalp and then rinse off with lukewarm water. I then apply my Triflow hair conditioner.

The shampoo does work for me and I have seen reduction in hair fall, but beware, it does not work on its own. Along with this shampoo and triflow conditioner, I also followed the other medications given by my dermatologist, so I cannot guarantee that it will work on its own, but overall, I quite liked this shampoo as its mild and cleanses the hair extremely well! It does not lather much as the regular shampoos. It did not strip natural moisture from my hair and make them dry like other regular shampoos. Also, I find it to be quite expensive since I have waist length hair and this tube lasted me for only about 10 washes which is around 3 weeks!

Ducray Anaphese Shampoo

It has a very mild fragrance which does not stay for long and will not irritate the ones with sensitive noses at all. Overall, I am planning to repurchase this one again once I am done with my current shampoo. Its a good shampoo if you are having severe hair fall and if you are undergoing a hair fall treatment. This shampoo will stimulate the hair roots and make your scalp ready to receive the hair fall treatment. Also, I trust dermatologist-recommended products for my hair as I am way too possessive about them 🙂

  1. even i had a bad phase of hairfall..i used indulekha hair oil..quite popular in kerala..and its awsome.proved very effective. Will try out this as shampoo..thanx for the review and this new info 🙂

  2. i’ve been facing severe hair fall for a few years now, and i finally gave in and went to a trichologist. along with supplements, my hair doc recommended Elution from the same brand – it is the variant for sensitive scalp. apparently gentle enough to use everyday (although i don’t). also, don’t need conditioner after using it! good to know it’s made by the same group of people who make a-derma! thanks for the review 🙂

  3. My derma doc also prescribed with this shampoo along with DucrAy Range Hair spray..i dont know if its working or not but i feel that there is more hair fall due after i shampoo..is it normal???
