e.l.f. Illuminating Palette Review

Skin Type: Oily and occasionally acne-prone
Skin Tone: Fair with warm undertones

Hello gorgeous ladies,
I have been enjoying e.l.f. face palettes and own all of them. So, when I saw this awesome ‘Illuminating Palette’ by e.l.f., I was pretty excited and picked it up immediately. In the beauty world, this palette is considered a dupe of the Hourglass Ambient Lightening Powder. Let’s see if that’s true in this case.

My Experience with e.l.f. Illuminating Palette:

Packaging:
The packaging of this face palette is the same as the e.l.f. Studio Blush Palettes. The palettes are housed in the same type of compact which are sturdy black compacts and have four pans. These pans can be easily popped out and rearranged to customise your needs if you have the blush and bronzer palettes. They also have a huge full size mirror which is always welcome.

Colour:
As you can see in the mages, this palette contains 4 gorgeous shades. It comes with a white shade with a slight yellow tint, a pale pink, a beige shade, and a golden bronze shade. The different shades come in handy for different purposes in sculpting and adding a glow to the face.

Pigmentation:
In my opinion, this palette is fairly pigmented for light to medium skin tones. I am not too sure how this will work for beauties with richer complexions. But the colours show up really well on my skin. The pigmentation is buildable and can be used with a light hand for a more natural look and can be built up for an intense colour pay-off.

Texture:
The texture of the powders in this palette is really soft and not very powdery. The makeup brush picks up the right amount of product to give the skin a glow. Since the powders are soft and creamy, there is hardly any fallout which I really like. Also the colours blend really well into the skin and give a smooth finish as opposed to some face powders that look patchy or ashy on the skin.

Longevity:
I would consider this to be of medium longevity as it starts to fade away evenly after 6 hours approximately. Not that I would like it to stay for more than that time period, but I do have face powders that do not fade away until I decide to take them off. That being said, the wear time can be increased by using a primer and a setting spray.

Pros of e.l.f. Illuminating Palette:
