e.l.f. Professional Fan Brush Review

Hello fellow IMBBans!!!

I have never used a fan brush before because until recently I didn’t know what it could be used for! But then I saw some videos of how people use it to contour and highlight their faces, especially if the face is small like mine, and big brushes are difficult to use while applying bronzer in the hollows of the cheeks and on the sides of the nose.

How to:
Use this brush to gently swipe away excess eyeshadow that has fallen below the eye for a mess-free cleanup. This brush is also great for using to apply a precise application of bronzer or illuminator to the face.

Price:
$2

My Experience with e.l.f. Professional Fan Brush:

Like I mentioned earlier, this is my first attempt at using a fan brush and since I was not sure about its proper usage, I decided to go with a cheaper dupe rather than shelling out ten times the money.

Packaging:
The bristles of this brush are sable brown in color and packed in a steel holder which is then attached to a white plastic holder. On the plastic holder ‘e.l.f. Professional Fan Brush’ is engraved.

Brush Bristle Quality:
They are synthetic bristles and are super soft as one would like, but then again it is pretty good for a $2 brush. Bristles are tightly packed in a steel holder which makes them fan out in a fan like form.

Product Distribution:
It does a decent job at applying highlighting shades on the high points of face and nose bridge. It can also be used to apply a darker shade on the hollows of our cheeks, sides of our nose to make the face appear slimmer, under chin to hide double chin and any other innovative way we can think of, but in a nutshell it is meant for precise, concentrated application of powder products.

Bristles Density:
It has a very good bristle density and they are tightly packed together in the steel holder.

Cleaning:
This brush is easy to clean and dry (just put in upright position to drain out all the water) and it does not shed as most of the cheap brushes are expected to do.

Would I Repurchase e.l.f. Professional Fan Brush?
No, because it would last me a while and I like to try out new products every time. But, I do recommend it to my readers especially those who are new to the makeup world and don’t want to shell out a large amount of money. People with small and round face like mine should give this fan brush a try to give more definition to their face.

  1. My sister introduced me to fan brushes and a makeup guru suggests round and oval faces to apply blushes with a fan brush. Well reviewed.
