e.l.f. Studio Blush Palette – Dark
Hello friends!
Hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am reviewing a blush palette from e.l.f.’s Studio line. This is the e.l.f. Studio Blush Palette in Dark. The shade number is (#83315).
Product Details from the e.l.f. Website:
This beautiful blush palette holds 4 gorgeous shades to mix and match throughout the year for a custom blended color. Great for contouring, shading, sculpting, and highlighting, these silky smooth blushes create a beautiful pigmented glow. With a mixture of complimentary matte and shimmer finishes, you can achieve a professional look every time.

My experience with e.l.f. Studio Blush Palette – Dark:
I remember trying some e.l.f. products ages ago, when most of what they sold was just a dollar! Of course, some of them I liked enough to re-purchase while some of their products really disappointed me. Now, e.l.f. seems to have come a long way as a brand. They still have their $1 products, but they also have the more expensive studio line ($3 and up) and mineral line ($5 and up). When I say more expensive, it is relative to their original cost! Otherwise, e.l.f. can still claim to provide the most cost-effective products!
e.l.f. does ship to Canada, but the shipping cost is quite high. So I never felt justified ordering from their website. Recently, Target Canada started selling e.l.f. products, which made me so very happy! This is one of the products I picked up from e.l.f.’s studio line. This blush palette is available in 2 options – Light and Dark. ‘Light’ was out of stock and I picked up only the one in ‘Dark’. But I am going back for the one in ‘Light’ too!
Packaging:
This is a 4-pan blush palette which comes in a rectangular black matte case. It does not have a transparent lid. So if you have both the light and dark palettes, you will have to open the lid to find out which is which! There is a large mirror inside the palette, but no brush is provided. The individual pans can be popped out, though I find it a bit difficult to do so. If you are planning to do it, be very careful as the blush is very delicate and may break during this popping out!
Color and Finish:
The individual blushes are not numbered or named in the palette. I have numbered them in the images for ease of reference. The four shades in the dark blush palette are:
Shade 1 is a dusty mauve peach shade which is matte
Shade 2 is a deep raspberry shade which is matte
Shade 3 is a coral red shade which has gold glitter, which is not very evident when sheered out
Shade 4 is a medium reddish plum shade which is matte
All four shades are very pretty when sheered out. They would suit a variety of skin tones.
Pigmentation:
All the four shades in this palette are highly pigmented. Do start with a light hand else you would end up looking clownish with the more intense shades! A stipple blush works best for me with the darker colors in this palette.
Texture:
The texture of all four shades is very soft and creamy. It has the feel of a high end product. Only one of these blushes has shimmer, which again does not translate much on to the cheek. Matte lovers will be happy with this palette.
Longevity:
These blushes last for over 6 hours on my very oily skin with just BB cream and powder on, after which they fade slightly. If I have a foundation on, they last for over 8 hours. It would definitely last longer on not-so-oily skin.
Pros of e.l.f. Studio Blush Palette – Dark:
Pretty berry shades which are perfect for fall
Highly pigmented
Silky texture which is easy to blend
Good lasting power
Compact travel friendly packaging
Inexpensive
Cons of e.l.f. Studio Blush Palette – Dark:
Easy to go overboard as the shades are very pigmented
IMBB Rating:
4.5/5
Recommendation:
I love this blush palette! All shades are so smooth, creamy and highly pigmented. The quality is excellent, in fact, unbelievable for the price. Do check this one or the ‘Light’ palette. I am sure you will love it!
