My Experience with E.L.F. Studio Pinktastic Baked Blush Review:

Packaging:
The blush comes covered in a cardboard box and is actually in a plastic case with a transparent lid. The name of the shade is written on the case. I do not trust the packaging though. For all I know if I am not careful and the blush falls, it just might break along with my heart into pieces.

Pigmentation:
The pigmentation is awesome! One swipe is more than enough, at times. This shade does not work as a blush though, so I use it as a highlighter 😛 I bought it for the reason that it has a beautiful pink tinge, even though the name is ‘pinktastic’, the blush is more of a gold finish in colour. I have no complaints because I knew, what I was calling for and what I was going to get.

Staying Power:
The staying power is good. This particular shade works best as highlighter and so I apply it around my eyebrows, on my cheekbones and cupid’s bow for a flawless look.

Texture:
When felt, the blush is a little rough but while application on the face, it is fine and smooth 🙂 It is a combination of gold and pink which equals to rose gold.

Pros of E.L.F. Studio Pinktastic Baked Blush:

  • Amazing pigmentation.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • Beautiful colour pay-off.
  • Micro-shimmer is present.
  • Works great as a highlighter.
  • Good staying power.
  • Will suit all skin tones and colours.

Cons of E.L.F. Studio Pinktastic Baked Blush:

  • Too shimmery and low pigmentation for a blush.
  • Uncertain availability in India.

Conclusion:
Firstly, it does not act like a blush at all! The pigmentation and the shimmer just do not let it. The colour is a beautiful gold with pink undertones, hence the name. I use this product only as a highlighter and I am impressed with it. I was actually going to go for one from the highlighter range but preferred to go with this one and I am glad I did. A little goes a long way and it is a pretty good product especially at this price. If you feel the review is convincing enough, go on and get it 😀

  1. It looks more like a highlighter to me too, I think can be swiped over a matte blush to add a hint of sheen. Lovely review and pics Shamail.
