Though tattoos have always fascinated me, yet I never had the courage to take the plunge till date. Firstly, I am too scared of needles and secondly the art would stay inked forever on the skin. What if I do not like the design! Nevertheless while researching on this topic, I came across an article about Ed Hardy – world renowned for his body art works. His designs are very intriguing and reproduced zealously on apparels, perfumes and accessories. The packaging of the perfume caught my attention and I became the proud owner of Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier Eau de Parfum for Women.

Packaging:

The perfume bottle is cylindrical shaped with an outer hard plastic cover. The outer cover of the glass bottle has designs inspired by Ed Hardy’s art work. It has a very rock-n-roll aspect to it represented by skull along with red and yellow roses. The baby pink background of the package content gives it a very captivating look. It contains a hard-to-miss ominous message “Love Kills Slowly” along with ‘Life,Love,Luck.”

The cover encloses a transparent glass bottle with a spray nozzle. The monograms of Ed Hardy are imprinted on the metallic cap seal. The packaging of the perfume is very chic. The perfume bottle needs to be handled carefully as the glass could break on impact. The packaging of the perfume was the most mesmerizing reason for me to buy the product.

My Experience with Ed Hardy By Christian Audigier Eau De Parfum For Women:

The fragrance of the EDP is predominantly floral, though I can also smell fruity notes. I found the fragrance to be a very distinctive feminine fragrance. The perfume would be more suitable to use during outings with friends rather than in a more professional environment. The fragrance smells very sweet and alluring.

The perfume has a very spring kind of fragrance, though I have used it in all seasons. However, I did find this fragrance to be more suitable for daytime wear than for evenings. The perfume contains notes of apple, mango, strawberries along with freesia and vanilla. I like the fragrance as it is floral and has a very cheerful uplifting aroma.

As this is an EDP, it contains a higher percentage of fragrance oils. The fragrance is not very heavy and overpowering, but still has a decent staying power. The perfume lasts for 3-4 hours. After a few hours, the floral and fruity notes of the fragrance mellow down considerably. I find it gradually smelling more of the warmer notes of amber and musk.

I hesitate to finish this perfume as I really like its packaging. However, fragrances change if they have been left for many years, so I might use up the fragrance, but will never throw out the bottle 😛

•  Though more of a spring fragrance, it is suitable for every day wear.

• Glass packaging needs to be handled carefully.
• The fragrance fades away in 3-4 hours requiring re-application.
• Pricey.
• Not suitable for professional venue.
• Not suitable if you do not prefer sweet fragrances.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Ed Hardy By Christian Audigier Eau De Parfum For Women?

No, I will not buy this product again even though I like the fragrance and the packaging. It does not score as a go-to fragrance for me. But as I mentioned, I might have the bottle with me even after the perfume finishes. I would recommend this product to you if you want to try a floral-fruity fragrance with an edge!
