Effective Hair Mask For Split Ends: Do It Yourself

Effective Hair Mask For Split Ends: Do It Yourself

Hair plays a vital role in beauty, but they are vulnerable to environmental effects and water quality. Everyone suffers from same kind of hair issues – hair fall, dry and brittle hair, split ends etc. Same is the case with me, with added problem of split ends. So, finally, I have found a hair mask that works wonderfully for split ends. After using it for more than 2 months, I am going to share it with you all.

Things you will need:

Effective Hair Mask For Split Ends

  • One egg yolk (no egg white required).
  • 1.5 tbsp mayonnaise.
  • 1 tablespoon honey.
  • 1 tablespoon hot olive oil.
  • Few drops of lemon.
  • Mixing bowl, spoon and shower cap.

Take out the egg yolk separately from the egg (all of you working in the kitchen must be expert at it :P). Take the egg yolk in a mixing bowl and add one and a half table spoon of mayonnaise. Add one table spoon of honey. Warm the olive oil in microwave or use hot water bath, whatever is convenient for you.

Add in one full tablespoon of hot olive oil in the egg yolk and mayonnaise and quickly add 4-5 drops of lemon, just to reduce the egg smell in hair. Mix everything quickly and thoroughly and apply instantly. Since the consistency of the mask is a bit runny, not much but still, put on a shower cap. Wait for 30 minutes before washing it away. Shampoo as usual and don’t forget to apply conditioner because after using egg masks, hair has a tendency to stiffen up and break; so a good conditioner takes care of it.
