Eid 2016 Makeup Look – Lime Green Smokey Eyes

lime green smokey eyes

Hi Everyone, πŸ™‚
I was actually not planning on doing an eye makeup look today. But then I painted my nails in this beautiful lime green color and I got inspired. I did these smokey eyes. And since Eid is around the corner, I thought this just fits the occasion.
I actually did this eye makeup look quite differently than I’d normally do. When you do a smokey eye makeup look, it’s very important to have the gradation – the darkest and most concentrated color right on the lashline and as you go above the crease, the color should fade out. These are the steps I followed.

Prime lids with an eyeshadow base.
Take a peach eyeshadow on a fluffy brush and apply it just on the crease. It would help with blending the eyeshadow.
Apply liquid eyeliner first on the eye and wing it. You don’t have to be perfect with it. We just want that dark black intensity right at the lash line.
Now take black eyeshadow on a pencil brush and just apply it very concentrated right above your liquid eyeliner. Take a blending brush and then just blend the color upwards until you blend the color in the peach eyeshadow you have applied earlier.
Apply the same black eyeshadow on the lower lash line with a pencil brush.
Now take white eyeliner and apply it just on the inner corner of the eye. This would act as a base for the green eyeshadow that we’d apply next. The white base would make the color pop.
Apply a shimmery lime green eyeshadow just on the inner corner of the eye.
Curl lashes and finish off with lots of mascara.
I kept rest of the face pretty neutral with a peachy blush, highlighter, and a n*de pink lipstick.
Do give this look a shot. It’d be like an unexpected smokey eye makeup look. You can wear matching nail paint as well. πŸ˜€
Have a great weekend all of you. :-*
