Eid Makeup Look : Colorblock

color block eye makeup look

Hi Everyone,

I did another makeup look that you could create for Eid or any other occasion that you may have to attend. It is pretty different from the regular makeup looks but not a very difficult one to do. Since I am such a fashion girl, guess my makeup ideas have also started getting influenced by fashion now. 😀 I did a color block makeup and the inspiration was actually one of the outfits I wore some time back – blue shirt and yellow skirt. So I thought it would be fun to do a makeup interpretation of the same look. And here I am. 😀 Plus I am heads over heels in love with the blue eye pencil from Sugar Cosmetics. It’s a dream cream pencil. And the color is just stunning. Also, don’t forget to share your makeup looks in Madam Gupshup. Check out Ahana’s recreation of my last makeup look HERE
Eid Mubarak to all those who are celebrating. 🙂

Here is a step by step guide for recreating the look.
Prime your eyelids with an eyeshadow primer. Apply some compact powder for smooth blending.
Apply a medium brown eyeshadow just above the crease using a fluffy brush. This will help with blending later on.

Now use a blue eyeliner pencil and draw a very thick wing pretty much covering 2/3 of your eyelid. Fill the spaces and make it really dark at the lash line.
Then take a flat brush and blend the edges upwards until it looks seamless.
For the lower lash-line, I mixed a shimmery yellow gold and a matte yellow eyeshadow. But you can totally use either or both depending on what you have in your kit. I also used the same yellow for the inner corner of my eyes. 🙂

I used a Sugar Cosmetics Black Kajal for waterline.
Finish off with mascara.
And you are done for eye makeup.

I wanted a stark color contrast for the lips. Since I was using eyeliners from Sugar, I thought I’d use the lipstick also from them. 😀 The lipstick is Sugar Cosmetics Matte As hell Lipstick in Mary Poppins.
