Anyway, I have another review for you. I am back with Elemis, I have been using this for quiet some time now and was introduced to it by my mother. Actually what happened was that, I was sort of forced into trying it because I had just returned from a holiday and my toner at home was over and there was no way, I could have gone all the way to Clarins and purchased a new one. So lets see what I thought about it?

Product Claim- High Alpine Lavender helps to maintain your skin’s natural PH balance whilst effectively clarifying your skin. This Elemis Balancing Lavender Toner is perfect for teenage or combination skin. Elemis Balancing Lavender Toner contains Sweet Betty Flower, a natural cleansing and foaming agent that replaces alcohol and other harsh detergents. This truly gentle toner is healing and helps to reduce inflammation caused by acne or environmental aggressors.

The active bases of plant glycerine and de-ionised water moisturise, soften and rehydrate your skin as well as aiding the penetration of your moisturiser or night cream.

Directions of use:Gently tone your face after cleansing with a cotton wool pad

My Experience with Elemis Balancing Lavender Toner

The Lavender toner has really sophisticated and classic packaging. It is not a completely transparent bottle, so I would say it is a translucent bottle and you are able to see the liquid product inside the bottle. The logo and the name of the product are written on top of the bottle. The great thing about the bottle is that it comes with a pump! This makes it absolutely hygienic, easy to use and also relatively cost efficient, since it determines the amount of product that escapes from the bottle.

As for the product, it is a green coloured liquid. And no, it is not a gross coloured green, that might resemble a strange chemical, it is relatively calming and soothing to the eyes. Also, the product is transparent once you pump it onto your face, so do not worry about any residues being left behind on your face upon application.

The consistency of this is like water, so when you spray it on your face you feel like you have just spritzed water on your face. Which is a lovely feeling to be honest with you. The smell is really lovely, it is very soothing and relaxing. It has hints of lavender, it is not overpowering, but enough to make a difference.

Lets talk about the effects of this product on my skin, so you guys remember I have sensitive oily skin, which is prone to acne if it is not happy with the products I am using. I spray the toner onto a cotton pad and swipe it on to my face, I don’t particularly like spraying it all over my face, since I feel as though there is uneven distribution of the product on my face and I also end up using more product than I would, if I just used a cotton pad. I also use this after I cleanse my face with my face wash. If I am honest with you, it leaves my face completely hydrated and moisturised because of its constancy I feel. I also feel as though it has managed to reduce any sort of flaring up on my skin caused sometimes when my skin is irritated. The lavender seems to do its job right, since its properties is known for soothing irritated skin. Also, my skin does not feel tight, in fact it feels soft, supple and smooth, it also makes my skin look radiant and fresh!
