Today I am reviewing for you all a product by Elemis, my mother swears by these products for her skin and has been extremely happy with the after effects so far. So she recommended me to try their products for my skin. And since we have almost the same sort of skin type, which is oily, I decided to give it a go.

I am going to be reviewing Elemis’ Tri- Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash, from their Anti- ageing range. I know I am relatively young to be using products that claim to be anti-ageing, but dermatologists have suggested that once you cross your teens, you are in a position to use these products without apprehension. Since you are only caring for your skin. So without further adieu, let’s get straight into the review.

Product Claim– Revolutionary Tri-Enzyme technology is the catalyst in this safe and effective resurfacing formulation. Galactoarabinan, a Polysaccharide, enhances the non-abrasive exfoliation process, whilst Brazilian Babassu Oil replenishes moisture. Moringa protects the skin against environmental damage, whilst White Truffle, Poria Cocos, soothes and supports the skin’s natural micro flora.

My take on Elemis Tri- Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash Anti Ageing:

The facial wash has a really simple and sophisticated packaging, it is a white bottle, with silver detailing. The bottle itself feels velvety and smooth in my hands. It is also extremely hygienic in my opinion, since it comes with an easy to use pump. A pump is also very economical as it guides you for the right usage amount. This shall refrain you from over using a product and save you from over spending.

The texture of this facial wash is really soft and glides easily on my face and hands, it does not have any micro beads within its formula, also I would say that it does not foam too much like a normal face wash (and I will tell you why later). It has a lovely fragrance to it, it’s so fruity and lovely and my senses feel so rejuvenated upon usage. Absolutely loving it.

So as suggested by the Sales Assistant, this is a daily facial wash that can be incorporated into your daily skin care routine. It aims to resurface your skin, as in it helps shed away old dead skin cells and helps you achieve new skin cells, this is done through gentle exfoliation and is said to particularly target scarring on the skin as well as improve the skin texture. So remember how I was telling you that it does not foam too much like a normal face wash? It’s because unlike conventional face washes, this should not be used to remove the dirt from your face. It needs to be used with another face wash to target that aspect of skin cleaning.

 

I know many people have used it as their normal face wash, including my mother and that’s no problem at all, it can be used for that purpose too. However this product is actually made to target your dead skin cells and resurface your new skin that lies underneath all the dullness. I usually make use of this after I wash my face with my usual cleanser (Himalaya Neem Face wash) to wash away the dirt and grime, and then use it for a second cleanse. Therefore you can basically call it a maintenance facial wash. I have started using this once a week, rather than daily. But it can be used daily as a second cleanse as well, without any apprehensions.

My skin feels so smooth and soft after I cleanse my face with this. It definitely leaves my skin feeling absolutely moisturised because of Brazilian Babassu Oil as an ingredient. I also have witnessed a clear visible glow on my skin due to the gentle exfoliation process and it is definitely doing its job well. However I must make this absolutely clear, you will need to have to be patient and wait for the results to be visible. This too like all other products needs time to work into your skin from the root to show results, so please be patient and do not loose hope. Most importantly, I have not broken out at all with this product, as you all know how sensitive my skin is. I was pretty worried about breaking out, but like I told you all, I have similar skin to my mother and I trusted her experience so I went ahead and used it.

Overall, I am more than pleased with this product and it has done a real GREAT job on my face. My skin now glows and looks less dull due to the environmental damage.

• Availability in India.

Would I repurchase this again?

I have seen visible effects on both me and my mum, therefore a definite yes.
