My Experience with ELF Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade:
I have used the ELF Hypershine lipstick and I liked them too. During my recent ELF order, I wanted to give there new Luscious Lipstick a try. So I ordered it in shade Pink Lemonade.
The packaging is almost like Hypershine lip gloss, except it had a sponge like applicator with minute holes to release the product when you twist the bottom part. They have mentioned to twist 10-20 times to reveal product for the first time. I twisted 10, 20 and 30 times…But I didn’t see any product coming through the sponge at all. Went ahead and twisted few more times and this time the package broke in the middle as the product was pushing it from bottom. I tried to fix it back, but I couldn’t, What a flimsy packaging it was!
I still went ahead and used for review purpose by dipping the sponge in the product. I also stored it in a separate container.
The shade “Pink Lemonade” looked like a soft mauve pink in the swatch. I know we cannot believe the swatch on ELF’s website, but I didn’t give a second thought as it was just a dollar. But little did I know that it would turn out to be a frosty pink shade. I hate frosty shades. Not just on me, I think it doesn’t look good on anyone. It would accentuate the lip lines and would make anyone look older than their age.
This one did the same thing. First of all the color did not go on evenly. It went on streaky. It did not cover the uneven pigmentation on my lips. It felt sticky and a bit heavy on lips throughout the wear. It has fruity flavor to it.
The color stayed on me for 1.5 – 2 hours by when it started fading unevenly. I totally had a bad experience with this product, I managed to use it for 4-5 times and then threw away the product, as I couldn’t handle the mess anymore.
Not sure if all the shades form this line has the same texture, or it is just this one. I actually do not have many pros to mention about this product.
Pros of ELF Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade
1. Creative idea for packaging, if at all it had worked !
2. Cheap. Its ok if it doesn’t work.
Cons of ELF Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade
1. Flimsy package
2. Frosty shade accentuates fine lines on lips
3. Feels sticky
4. Does not go even on lips
Final Word:
I’m not sure about other shade in this line, but I wouldn’t recommend this particular shade to anyone. If you feel like trying any lip gloss from ELF, try the Hypershine gloss . They are way better than this one in all aspects.

Such frosty shades reminds me of 90’s bollywood actresses :p
You are right Parul 😛
i have this lipstick in a different shade(i dont remember exactly what color) . I agree it is quite sticky but it is moisturizing. I would rather term it as a gloss because it is sheer . I think the shade didn’t work well for you . You may give a try to some darker shades ,they arent as dark as they appear . The packaging is not great though 🙂
I would definitely try some other shade from this line purva. Thanks for the deco 🙂
I have these in Pink Sugar and Maple Leaf….they are sticky but for few minutes, with minty feel, they are subtle shades, this one looked appealing but frosty *waiting* *waiting* strange!
I have read your reviews on theses. I liked how they looked on you. May be it is the frostiness that makes it more sticky
moderation?
Definition of frosty is this *shock* *silence*
yeah *hihi*
