ELF is such an affordable brand but I have a love-hate relationship with their products in terms of quality. It’s about choosing the right products which work for you. They offer a range of face primers, such as mineral infused, poreless, hydrating, tone adjusting, brightening lavender etc. Today, let’s talk about their ‘Tone Adjusting Green’ primer.

My Experience with ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer – Tone Adjusting Green:
I have quite a lot of products from ELF. It does not hurt the pocket to try new stuff when they are so affordable, after all. ELF does not have a store in UAE, so I purchase ELF products online. I bought the ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer – Tone Adjusting Green mainly to hide redness that appears on my face at times.
The primer comes in a matte plastic bottle which looks like a glass bottle. The product, when seen through the packaging, is green. It comes with a dispenser which pumps out just enough product for one use. It has a sturdy and classy packaging, and being lightweight, it’s perfect for travels. It is a silicon-based primer which is distinctly green in colour. I pump out a pea-sized amount for one use, which suffices to use all over the face. It has a semi-solid texture which is like a gel, minus the stickiness.
It blends easily and glides over the skin, giving the velvet smooth feel of a silicone primer. Though the product appears distinctly green the colour gets subdued after application on the face; it just gives a slight green hue to the skin. It blurs out my skin tone; I could not notice any major difference in redness, though. It makes the skin feel very smooth.
My foundation goes on very smoothly over this primer and my makeup stays put for more than 10 hours. If you are looking for a primer that would give you a dewy finish, then this is not your pick. This one gives a normal to matte finish. It is a good primer for this price and will suit normal, combination as well as oily skin type. However, this may not be the best pick if you’re looking for a green color correcting primer.
Pros of ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer – Tone Adjusting Green:
• Very affordable
• Blends easily
• Makes the skin very smooth
• Blurs skin imperfections (to a certain extent)
• Sturdy and classy packaging
Cons of ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer – Tone Adjusting Green:
• Does not help much with redness
• Not advisable for dry skin
IMBB Rating: 2.5/5
Would I Repurchase ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer – Tone Adjusting Green?
No, since it does not do what it actually claims. I would rather try the other primers from ELF.
