ELF Mineral Infused Mascara Review

Hello beauties!

These days mineral makeup is very much on rise, in India we do not have many options easily available yet, but soon there should be. Hence I picked up this mascara from Elf mainly becauseof the name itself. Ever since I have started wearing mascaras it has become a must have. And anyways mascaras have to be replaced every few months, so I wanted to try this one. I seriously did not have high hopes from it, as I have not heard a lot about their mascaras but this one definitely did not fail to impress me!

My Experience with ELF Mineral Infused Mascara:

The mascara comes in a sleek matte black tube, for the price the packaging is quite good if not best, but the only problem is that the matte black packaging is very much prone to getting dirty, especially if used with dirty hands. It is a non-waterproof mascara just what I prefer, but it is not mentioned anywhere. It has a flexible silicone wand, which is completely different from all the other mascara wands as they are stiff, whereas this one is quite flexible and hence coats each and every lash really well, I personally love it: P. The brush size is just right and not too big with a narrow tip, hence it works well for bottom lashes without getting messy.The brush is made in such a way that it never ever picks up an excess product, as many times with most mascaras the wand picks up a whole lot of product which later on has to wiped with a tissue to get a clump free application but not with this one: P
The formula of this mascara is slightly on the wet side, but it is good as eventually mascaras do tend to dry down. But it dries rather quickly, so you do not have to worry about it getting everywhere. It works extremely well on layering.

It is a deep black, definitely not the blackest black but natural black right enough to intensify lashes. This mascara is not much voluminizing, but it defines the lashes extremely well and gives the most amazing length to them, it separates the lashes really well. I find it perfect for everyday wear and is also very suitable for office wear, where you do not want to add a lot of drama. It also works very well with other voluminising mascaras whenlayered, as together they give the best looking lashes. If you have short but thick lashes then you will definitely love it, as this is excellent mascara when it comes to gives great length to lashes and is very natural looking.

It is not a curling mascara but holds the curl quite well when used after an eyelash curlerin spite of being non waterproof, on me it stays for almost the whole day, but I have never had any issues with mascaras lasting on me though. You do not have to worry about a clumpy look with this one, as it gives a very neat and defined look. Although the formula is non-waterproof it is does not come off easily with water and that also adds to its lasting power, you do need to remove it with a good makeup remover or a face wash. Another great thing ELF does not test on Animals.

• It is not a voluminising mascara
• Not the best mascara for sparse lashes
• Not waterproof (may be a con for some)
• Availability in India

Do I recommend ELF Mineral Infused Mascara?

I do not have much to complaint about this one 😛 and definitely recommend it if you have medium to thick lashes or are looking for natural looking lengthening mascara, you will really enjoy this one. I am definitely going to repurchase this next time.
