ELF Studio Baked Blush Rich Rose Review

ELF Studio Baked Blush Rich Rose

Whenever there is a sale on ELF’s website, I make sure to check out their “New” column, to look for any new interesting products. ELF products have equal hit and miss so that way itwon’t hurt if I buy them on sale 😉

One such buy is the Studio Baked Blush in Rich Rose. ELF tries to follow the market trend and will come up with their cheaper version of popular products. When baked makeup goodies were in  trend, they came up with baked blushes, eye shadow etc., under their studio line. Lets see how this Studio Baked Blush performs.

What it is:
The soft and shimmering color of our Baked Blush creates a natural healthy glow. Baked in an oven, these blushes offer rich pigmentation for a beautiful effect. The long-lasting formula provides a gorgeous, smooth and even application. Infused with active key ingredients Jojoba, Rose, Sunflower, Apricot and Grape to nourish and hydrate the skin. My experience with ELF Studio Baked Blush in Rich Rose :

I love their original studio blushes and own almost all of them. I have reviewed many of them on IMBB. They have good pigmentation and texture. And they blend well. I would naturally expect same performance from their baked blushes if not more.

This came in a round plastic pan with see-through plastic lid. No brush or mirror included. (ELF what were u thinking while making these products ?!?) The package looks little cheap unlike the original studio blushes (the duped NARS package).

I have used baked blushes from Laura Geller and they are so pigmented and easily blendable. But unlike that these blushes were hard in texture that I had to swirl my brush multiple time to pick just a little product. I had to repeat this more than once to build the desired color intensity on my cheeks. It is a good idea to use a dense brush to speed up the application.

It is a satin brown blush with rosy coral veins. The brown overpowers the rosy coral. I’m NC42 in MAC and on me its gives a peachy bronze look. It is not glittery at all. But gives a very subtle sheen. I liked the way it perks up my skin tone, like a natural tan.

It does look pretty but at the cost of that extra effort. When there are so many blushes out there, which offer great pigmentation and ease of use, I’m not looking forward to use these anymore. If you have fair skin tone, it might show up better on your skin.

The color stays on me for 3-4 hours before it starts to fade. By end if day I don’t see anything left on my cheeks. It just has a average longevity.

Let me sum up the pro’s and con’s of this product.

Pros of ELF Studio Baked Blush Rich Rose

1. Pretty bronzy peach shade
2. Very affordable
3. Blends well
4. Gives that bronzed rosy glow
5. There is no way one can over do it

Cons of ELF Studio Baked Blush Rich Rose

1. Pigmentation is not enough
2. Texture is not very smooth
3. No brush or mirror included.
4. Longevity is just okay

Final Thoughts on ELF Studio Baked Blush Rich Rose

These blushes are not at par with some of the original ELF Studio blushes. They could have done a better job, but nevertheless, it is an okay product.
