Product Description:
This convenient jumbo sized lip pencil creates exact color application with twist up ease so you never have to sharpen. The pigment rich color glides on effortlessly and easily to provide long-lasting matte color. The enriched Vitamin A, C and E formula moisturizes and hydrates lips for beautiful healthy-looking lips.

My Experience with ELF Studio Berry Sorbet Matte Lip Color:

Packaging: This lipstick comes in a slender twist-able pen format. The black pen format looks quite chic and feels sturdy. It surely does not give you a feel that you are holding a $3 lip product. A colored band at the bottom coincides with the color of the lip product inside.  The lip product is retractable and you don’t need to bother about a sharpener. However, the product does not swivel down completely and the tip remains slightly exposed.

The tip of the lip pen is oval shaped and that makes the application precise, especially around the corners of the lips or the cupid’s bow. The cap shuts tight and you can surely toss this around in your bag.

Shade/Pigmentation: The shade “Berry Sorbet” as the name suggests is a berry pink shade. It is a deep gorgeous color which will suit all skin tones. The shade is on the brighter side and hence might not be suitable for office wear but will surely look nice with Indian traditional wear. A beautiful shade to own!!  The lip pen is decently pigmented and one swipe is enough to cover my pigmented lips; swiping it multiple times does not look cakey at all.

Texture/Finish/Lasting Power:  The texture of the lip pen is quite creamy. It applies smoothly on the lips and does not tug at all. Even though this is a matte lipstick, the finish is not the dry, flat matte finish. Instead, it is a lovely matte with a slight sheen. It does not accentuate any lip lines and does not feel drying on the lips at all.

The staying power of the lipstick is around 5 hours. It transfers a bit but still survives light meals and snacking.

To summarize, this is a gorgeous shade of lipstick and the formula itself is also pretty good and all this for just 3 dollars!!
