This summer, I am literally obsessed with anything tangy and coral. I got a dress, scarf, lip gloss, nail paint, bowl, and I am also eyeing a lipstick :chewsnails: and this blush!!! I think anything tangerine is kind of perky and energizing, you think so?
These days whenever we go to Target (it’s like the Westside with munchies :)), hubby lets me run wild in the cosmetic section, which has an array of hair care, skin care, almost all the drug store brands lined up in their shelves and honestly, a person can get lost in those isles, I should click pictures when I go there next; I found this blush on one such trip!
The soft sheer texture blends into the skin for a silky finish. Designed to be worn alone or layered for more depth. Highlight your complexion with a subtle healthy glow! Shade: Candid Coral is a medium coral with slight shimmer. Not really vivid, kinda subtle.
$3.00 for .168 oz.
My Experience with ELF Studio Blush in Candid Coral:
The blush is a peachy coral shade, it looks like a really gorgeous shade, perfect for summer, but it is not my favourite blush. The pigmentation could have been much better. In this regard, MAC has spoiled me 🙁 It’s still a wearable blush, so in that respect, its not exactly gone to waste. It has a lot of glitter for my taste and honestly it goes on so light that I am using it as a highlighter on the top of my cheeks.
Thankfully, ELF Cosmetics is very well priced, so no regrets there 🙂 I would give brownie points to the texture though. The powder is very finely milled and goes on smoothly, so it’s a delight to work with. My complaint is just that I wish it showed more on me and the glitter, why is everyone coming up with so much glitter in their products?
Also, I tried swatching it up, but it just does not show up 🙁 gives a subtle effect.
So, summing up:
What I Like about ELF Studio Blush in Candid Coral:
- Blends easily.
- Doesn’t appear cakey.
- Easy to apply.
- Good for highlighting.
- Looks natural.
- Extremely cheap 🙂
- Lot of colours in the collection.
What I Do Not Like about ELF Studio Blush in Candid Coral:
- Why so much glitter???
- I wish it was a little more pigmented to show as a blush (only this particular shade I mean).
These blushes are good for their value and though I am not such a big fan, I am going to use this up only because I like it as a highlighter. Dusky beauties might like it too!!
