ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow
Hello IMBB Ladies,
Hope you all are having a wonderful day/evening. Today, I will be reviewing ELF’s Studio blush in “Gotta Glow.” Of all the products I have purchased from ELF, “Gotta Glow” is probably my favorite product so far. Gotta Glow is actually not a blush but a highlighter. It gives just the right amount of glow and the quality is excellent. Besides being an excellent highlighter for such a nominal price, ELF’s Gotta Glow is also famous because it is probably a dupe for NARS Albatross.
Now coming to the review:
Product Description from ELF Website:
The soft sheer texture blends into the skin for a silky finish. Designed to be worn alone or layered for more depth. Highlight your complexion with a subtle healthy glow!
Ingredients:
Talc, Mica, Nylon-12, Magnesium Stearate, Silica, Paraffinium Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Polybutene, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Iron Oxides (CI 77491 , CI 77492 , CI 77499), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Yellow No.5 Lake (CI 19140), Red No.40 Lake (CI 16035), Ultramarine Violet (CI 77077), Blue No.1 Lake (CI 42090).
How to Apply:
Apply to the apples of the cheeks or any other area you wish to highlight.
Price/Quantity:
3 dollars (approximately 150 INR) for 4.75 gm.
Packaging:
The packaging is very sophisticated and not at all cheap looking. ELF’s Gotta Glow comes in a sleek, matte black, rectangular case along with a mirror for easy touch-ups. Along with the shade, the packaging also reminds me of the NARS blush packaging.
My Take on ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow:
Gotta Glow looks like a pale yellowish white shade in the pan, but when swatched, it comes across as a gorgeous golden shimmery highlighter. The golden shimmer is finely milled and is not at all gritty. However, this highlighter can be sometimes chalky.
On my NC44 skin tone, It gives just the right glow and I am sure it will work on all the skin tones the same way it did for me. I generally apply “Gotta Glow” on my cheekbones and on the tip of the nose for that dewy glow. The pigmentation is also decent enough. It takes just 2-3 dabs to get the product on and is easily buildable. Along with the texture and pigmentation, the staying power too is very good. It has lasted on me for an average of 5 to 6 hours.

Pros of ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow:
- Firstly, Gotta Glow is a very beautiful highlighter and gives a subtle iridescent glow to the highlighted areas.
- Blends easily with the blush giving a luminous glow.
- Decent pigmentation, it just takes 2-3 dabs for me to get the product on the brush.
- Easily buildable.
- An average staying power of 5 to 6 hours.
- Really inexpensive.
- Parabens and preservatives free.
- Sophisticated packaging and a mirror is available for easy touch-ups.
- ELF is an animal cruelty-free brand, so no animal testing.
Cons of ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow:
- Can be slightly chalky or powdery.
- Availability has always been an issue with ELF, since these can be purchased only from their website and they don’t ship to India.
Will I Repurchase ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow:
Yes, Yes and Yes!!! For the price, it’s quality and the beautiful glow that it gives me, I will definitely repurchase ELF’s Gotta Glow again. I highly recommend it to everyone.

ELF blush packagings always remind me of NRS blushes. This looks a bit chunky but guess would be lovely for evening outs and parties. 🙂
