ELF Studio Cream Eyeshadow – Bronzed Review

Hello Gorgeous Ladies!

ELF Studio Cream Eyeshadow Bronzed Review

Eyeshadows are one of the true loves of my life; yes, a girl can have more than one! Usually pressed eyeshadows are considered better mates and cream or loose powders have notorious reputations! But girls, when it comes to true love, a girl can definitely try to make it work, no matter how tough things get. 😀 Seriously though, I love using cream eyeshadows provided they have a good quality and this particular ELF Studio Cream Eyeshadow is a true joy to use!

Bronzed Cream Eyeshadow

Bronzed Cream Eyeshadow

As with most ELF Studio products, this comes in a clear, good quality, clear plastic tub with a black matte top. This, I find to be too huge for the product inside, you can see all that empty space around the product.  I for one can’t fathom why ELF decided to make these huge containers, they could have opted for something less bulkier, it would have made it easy to carry.

Bronzed Cream Eyeshadow

The product is worth it though; the texture is creamy, yet not greasy and goes on very smoothly. It may look shimmery, but it does not have shimmer particles in it that can fall out or look glittery on the eyes. It is just a very metallic color. It is easy to use with either a synthetic or a natural brush. I use a flat brush when I want to pack on enough color, layer by layer and use a fluffier brush when I want to blend it. The best thing about this cream eyeshadow is that you can easily blend it out before it sets.  It just depends on the kind of brush you use. Just pack it on the lid and start blending it as you would with a pressed eyeshadow.  There really is not much difference, at least with particular product. Though, I should mention that I rather use my finger to pack on the color and brush to blend it as with a flat brush, most of the pigment sticks to the bristles. The product sticks to the fingers too and you would need to wipe your hands later, but it comes off easily and not a lot of product adheres to the finger when compared to the brush.

Bronzed Cream Eyeshadow

The color is a gorgeous wearable bronze.  It looks just as good sheerly as it does when layered to get maximum color pay off. The pigmentation is great and this is very buildable. You can use this both in the day and night time. It can be as subtle or dramatic as I want and I like that a lot.

Bronzed Cream Eyeshadow

This is how it looks when applied on the lids, as you can see, I hope, it is easy to blend in the crease area. It does not crease on my normal lids even without a primer or eyeshadow over it, even after 4 hours it did not crease as I expected it to. But for girls with oily lids, I think they should use a primer under it or an eyeshadow over it to better set it. This really is very long lasting, which in turn makes it difficult to remove when compared with other eyeshadows, you would need to remove it with what you use to usually remove liners or such smudge-proof products.

Bronzed eye

This is one of the looks that I wear often with this cream eyeshadow, applied all over the lid, blended out in the crease and creating a winged out shape with it, also applied on the lower lash line. As an eyeliner, I use a darker brown just around the upper lashes and lower outer lash line and connect the two.  Then, finish off with some black liner on the waterlines and mascara.  I am loving this look a lot these days too.

Pros of ELF Studio Cream Eyeshadow – Bronzed:

  • The color is just too beautiful!
  • Can be blended out easily.
  • Can be layered for achieving a deeper color.
  • Very long lasting – does not budge till removed.
  • Crease-proof – on not-oily/normal lids, this doesn’t need a primer or eyeshadow to set it.
  • The color can be worn alone and is a good base for other eyeshadows as well.
  • Affordable!
  • Good quality for the price.
  • A good amount of product.
  • Packaging quality is very good.
  • If stored upside-down, the color will be visible to find it quickly.

Cons of ELF Studio Cream Eyeshadow – Bronzed:

  • The case is too bulky, difficult to carry it around.
  • Available only online in India and most other countries.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5 (-0.5 only because of the too-huge case).

Do I Recomend/Would I Repurchase ELF Studio Cream Eyeshadow – Bronzed?

Definitely yes for both, if and when I run out of this and can’t find another exact same shade with the exact same texture as this, I will most certainly get this again. It is a color that I see myself wearing a lot and I know that most working ladies would love a color like this that is long lasting, wearable, and pretty!

Take care ladies and happy Makeuping!

  1. nice review dear….I have similar shade in maybelline…. Have never tried studio eye shadows from ELF….will try to get some colors which I don’t have

  2. Wow loved the shade.. but i have never tried any cream based shadow.. I have terribly oily skin 😐
Btw.. Which kajal have u applied? Looks so intense! 🙂

      1. Hey!
Ya I had used a 3 step eye primer(Oriflame). It looked great.. with the powder one. I never dared to get a cream one though! 😀
These gel liners, can they be applied on the waterline? Ive never used any gel liner actually :\

        1. u shud try MAC’s paint pots, get a color close matching ur skin tone n u can use tat as a base/primer for any eyeshoadow – cream or powder 🙂
the gel liners can definitely be used on the waterline, i just dip my kajal pencil nib in that n use the pencil as an applicator, the pencil makes sure v can apply it precisely on the line comfortably 🙂
