How is the day coming along ? Today, I am going to review yet another ELF product , the Studio Lip Balm SPF 15 in the shade “Rose.”
Use the Studio Lip Balm SPF 15 to relieve and soothe lips with a drench of moisture. This lip balm features SPF 15 to help shield lips from harmful sun rays. Apply balm liberally to prevent and temporarily protect against chapped, cracked or chafed lips. Try one of the tinted lip balms for just a hint of color!

My Experience with ELF Studio Lip Balm SPF 15 in Rose:
This one was a part of my recent ELF haul. Except for the Hypershine Lip Gloss, I have not tried many of ELF’s lip products, but this one had got good reviews and I thought “why not give it a try?”
I wanted to try some deeper shade and choose the “Rose.” It comes in a sleek matte black tube packaging. The bullet itself is thin and that makes the packaging look so sleek. Though ELF products are cheap, their packaging doesn’t look so 🙂
The shade “Rose” is a sheer coral red. The colour is quite buildable. This shades instantly adds some life to the face. It goes on real smooth and moisturises the lips well. The product smells and feels minty (cool). It does not have any taste. It gives a healthy shine to the lips. The “Rose Fresh Sugar tinted lip balm” that I reviewed a couple of weeks ago, was barely tinted, but still, it made the lips look and feel healthy. This one has enough colour to show up on my pigmented lips. This one is just 3 dollars and that was around 25 dollars.
It stays on lips for about 2-3 hours without having heavy meal after which the shine goes off and leaves a pretty stain on the lips. After a complete meal, it pretty much wears-off completely. As it is just a tinted lip balm, the staying power is still okay. Lips do not feel dry or uncomfortable after the product goes off. If you have really dry and chapped lips, you may need to apply more often.
I am reaching for this more often, as it is comfortable to wear and keeps my lips moisturised and I get a wash of colour on my lips to keep me looking/feeling good.
Pros of ELF Studio Lip Balm SPF 15 in Rose:
- Very pretty coral red shade.
- Color is quite buildable.
- Keeps lips moisturised.
- Lips don’t feel dry after it wears off.
- It has SPF 15, which is a good thing.
Cons of ELF Studio Lip Balm SPF 15 in Rose:
- Staying power is less.
- Not happy with the ingredients list as I can see a big list of chemicals in there.
This one does all that a tinted lip balm must do. I’m happy with this product and it is definitely a hit for me. I do recommend to give it a try.
