The product that I am going to review for you guys today is a nude lipstick that I got a while back. The lipstick is from this very affordable brand, ELF. The shade is called ‘Party In The Buff’. Let us get started!
The velvety, satin texture glides on lips with vibrant color and luminous shine. Enriched with Shea and Vitamins A, C, & E to nourish and hydrate the lips. The rich, creamy formula seals in moisture for long-lasting wear and comfort.
How to Use:
Apply to lips as often as needed.
My Experience with ELF Studio Party In The Buff Moisturizing Lipstick:
This lipstick comes in a sleek matte black tube which is kind of really pretty. It has a band of the color at the bottom which I believe is great to be able to recognize the shade without having to open the tube.
The shade is called ‘Party In The Buff’ and is a nude color with brown undertones. I love nude shade in a lipstick, but this one particularly looks more like I have swept a concealer on the lips. I personally do not like the shade, but it is okay to have a spare nude lipstick just in case.
Texture and Pigmentation:
The lipstick has a good creamy texture, okay pigmentation and it glides on the lips very smoothly. It does cake up a little after some wear and it needs touch up frequently. But, that just might be because of how sheer the shade is. Maybe the other shades in this line have a better staying power.
The lipstick is really moisturizing though, and does not leave the lips dry. That is a huge plus for me as my lips are naturally dry and I really love lipsticks that can keep them moisturized. To get some great pigmentation, you need to apply 3-4 layers for this shade.
The lipstick does cake up in a couple of hours. And, it also deposits in the lines. I do not like that about this lipstick at all. But, as I said, I will keep it as a spare nude lipstick in my collection just because it is super cheap and extremely moisturizing. It requires touch up every 2-3 hours.
Pros of ELF Studio Party In The Buff Moisturizing Lipstick:
• Good quality for the price.
• Sleek packaging.
• Glides on very smoothly.
• Pretty shade, but requires multiple swipes.
• Does not transfer.
• Price is amazing.
Cons of ELF Studio Party In The Buff Moisturizing Lipstick:
• Cakes up on the lips after a couple of hours.
• Requires touch up every 2-3 hours.
Would I Repurchase ELF Studio Party In The Buff Moisturizing Lipstick?
No! But, I would like to try other lipsticks from this range.
Would I Recommend ELF Studio Party In The Buff Moisturizing Lipstick?
Only because of the price! There are a lot better nude lipsticks than this are available in the market. But, this one might be a good choice if you do not wear nude often.
