Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick
Hello Ladies,
I am back with a review of another amazing product for the lips. Elizabeth Arden has been one of my favourite brands for lipsticks, and I picked up this lip protectant stick by chance as it was on sale. I completely loved the packing, and the sheer shade!

My experience with Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick
The first thing that attracted me about this product is the packaging. I always wanted a lip balm in a stick, where I don’t have to scoop out the product with my fingers. The packing of the lip protectant is very stylish. It comes in a translucent white lipstick style casing and is very easy to use. Also, the cap fits in securely, so that there is no lip balm disasters in your handbag.
The texture of the lip balm is very creamy. It is very smooth and glides easily across the lips. A single swipe is enough to intensely hydrate the lips, and 2 swipes to get the sheer tinted color on your lips. It moisturizes my dry lips well, but it is not too effective on extremely dry or cracked lips. I like to wear it over my lip service (lush) lip balm. It keeps the lips hydrated for at least 5-6 hours. It gives a very glossy look to the lips. I also like to wear it under matte lipsticks to give a glossy look.
The lip protectant stick 01 Honey, is nude shade resembling very closely to lips’ natural color. It just covers the discoloration on the lips and gives it a nice sheer nude color. The shade is perfect for ladies who want to wear very light lipstick, with the added bonus of lip protection and SPF. It gives a very naturally made up look. The EA lip protectant stick is also available in 5 more shades. In fact I had tested a lovely ‘berry’ shade at the EA counter, but a fresh piece was not available so I settled for the nude shade.
The best thing about this lip protectant stick is that it contains SPF. Since I stay out in the sun a lot, this is a god sent product! Also, it is very light on the lips. I would deduct a few brownie points for this product for its fragrance. It has a synthetic, plastic kind of smell, though that lasts only for a couple of minutes of application.
