I really liked the Green Tea EDT by Elizabeth Arden, but I was looking for something new in the same price range, a scent that would be more summer appropriate. I settled for this one as the “exotic” claim was pretty alluring to me. Read on to know how this baby fared.
INR 1500/- (approx.) for 100ml (price varies at online portals).
Green tea exotic, introduces bergamot, black tea from Ceylon and lime in top notes. A heart includes purple vine blossom, orchid, lily, jasmine and green tea, while a base which focuses on woody accords, amber and white daffodil.
My Experience with Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Exotic Eau De Toilette Spray:
The packaging is simple and elegant. It is definitely not like the high-end ones, but for the range that it belongs to, I quite like the simplicity of it. The outer paper carton has the required information regarding the product including ingredients. I find the floral designs on the body to be in sync with the “exotic” theme of the EDT. Sadly, there is hardly anything exotic about the fragrance.
As you can see in the product description, the fragrance opens with a citrusy note and then settles to a fresh floral one, for me the initial burst of citrus fragrance was a bit bummer. But I really like the middle notes; in fact that is why I got this one. The fresh floral fragrance adds to the “summer” feel to it. Again, the base notes were disappointing as it felt a bit cheap to me. Any other perfume will end up smelling like that at the end of the day which is not a good thing for me.
For me, it is okay if the staying power is less but, it is not okay to stay on like a cheap perfume; I absolutely hate that. Coming to staying power, it stays on for 4-5 hours when sprayed on normally. I have gone crazy time and again while spraying it on; even then, the maximum it could pull off was 5 hours.
I would not say I am hugely disappointed because the price is within reach and the quantity is good. I cannot expect a Chanel or Dior at this price range, so it is okay for regular use. I would not repurchase it for sure but I would not trash it either.
