My review is on Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss.
I got two shades, “Pink Pout and “Golden Pearl.” The first is a very attractive pink and the other is a natural golden rose hue.
I do not like it much to be honest. There is nothing so special about how the gloss looks. It in fact looks dumb to me. It is in that beaten-to-be-rectangle shape and looks very old.
15$ for 6.5 ml.
Glides over lipstick for brilliant shine or smoothes on alone for glamorous, glossy lips with a soft, barely-there scent.
My Perspective on Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss:
Pink Pout: This pink is very pinkish. 😛 It is just the hue that you see in a flash when you hear of the word pink (or at least I see it). It is that very old-fashioned pink, like of the 80’s. Before I tell you anything more about the hue of it, please check the swatches so that you don’t baffle your mind reading my description of the color. It looks gorgeous on the lips though.
Golden Pearl: This one is very natural, doesn’t look like you got some color on your lips. It has a little tinge of pink to it which I love. It makes my lips look more natural as only a little colour is offered. I can definetly wear it to college where my lecturers give brutal stares when I put on makeup. It could be used on a daily purpose to places where putting makeup is absolutely not necessary, like to your college, when you go out for a walk, you have your friends’ coming home and stuff.
The gloss has the right amount of glossy shine and is not sticky at all. Very comfortable to wear and remove, it can stay up to 4 hours which is reasonable for a gloss. These offer nice coverage (depending on your shade). They feel very smooth and feels good on the lips.
It is not totally matte but it instead has very fine shimmer in it which can be noticed only if observed keenly, but it is that fine shimmer that gives a better look to the lips and make them look glossier according to me.
Pros of Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss:
- Easy, comfortable, not sticky and smooth.
- Quick to apply and easy to remove.
- Stays for a reasonable 4 hours.
- Gives the perfect amount of glossy shine.
- Keeps lips moisturised and does not settle into fine lines.
- Offer good coverage.
- Dermatologist tested.
Cons of Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss:
- The price could be a problem.
- The packaging? I am not impressed!
Verdict on Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss:
It is just like any other lip gloss. I did not find any big problem with it. The fact that there is nothing so special about this lip gloss is what makes me feel like looking for other better ones than this. This one, as it is, is very good, but I feel like I want something more from it. If you want a gloss with nice color intensity and a fuller coverage than a sheer gloss, then this is undeniably worth a try. If you want a very subtle, barely-there kind of gloss, then you may want to go with a different product. Let’s see!
