Hieee Lovely Ladies!! *puchchi*
Under Eyes are the most delicate and often ignored areas of our face. After years of following IMBB,I have (tried to,with some success 😉 ) inculcate eye care in my skin care regimen.Since I purchased the Intervene stress recovery crème ,I thought might as well go ahead and purchase the eye cream,to complete the set :p 😉
So,today I will review a product from the Intervene Range by Elizabeth Arden-theIntervene Anti-Fatigue Eye Cream.
What the Company Claims:
This multi-benefit eye cream with naturally derived Biodormin™ technology helps combat the first signs of aging in the eye area. Helps minimize the look of existing lines, dark circles and other signs of fatigue.
INR 1250 for 15ml.
Suitable for – ALL SKIN TYPES.
My Experience withElizabeth Arden Intervene Anti-Fatigue Eye Cream:
I purchased the Elizabeth Arden intervene eye cream to go with the entire range of night cream and day cream. After reading Jomol’s lovely review, I even went ahead and purchased the Grape peel off mask (which is fabulous by the way 🙂 )
I have used the eye cream for a while now. It has a thick consistency, which though easily absorbed might seem heavy for some. The silky texture of the eye cream gives a smoothing effect which diminishes the visibility of dark circles, as smooth surfaces reflect light better.
An important point to be noted is that this eye cream contains the mineral “mica’ which provides shine. This gives the under eye area an instant line free and luminous look, which is great if you are like going out. But frankly, it is more makeup than skin care. I agree that it has some really fabulous plant extracts and anti-ageing ingredients, like antioxidants,no doubt it is great for skin. But the very fact that it comes in a jar packaging moots their whole point. It would really have been better if the eye cream came in a pump /tube packaging, to make it more hygienic and to retain the strength of active ingredients.
Having said that, it is not a totally worthless product. We can use it for alternation and especially under makeup. Still for this price, there are better eye creams out there in the market. In fact Forest Essentials eye cream with Anise is a really great option(whose price, they have raised yet again 🙁 ).
• Good antioxidant and plant extract content
• Nice texture
• Easily Absorbed
• Makes dark circles less apparent
• Contains Parabens
• Contains Mica which is more of a cosmetic additive
• Jar Packaging which is not only unhygienic, the antioxidant properties are destroyed on contact with air
Would I Repurchase?
No 🙁 There are better products out there. The forest essentials eye cream is a lighter and better option (unfortunately that too has a jar packaging).
