Elizabeth Arden Intervene Peel and Reveal Revitalizing Treatment Review

Elizabeth Arden Intervene Peel and Reveal Revitalizing Treatment Review

Can you believe it? There are only two face pack/face mask/peel available in Elizabeth Arden – Elizabeth Arden Hydrating Mask and then this one “Elizabeth Arden Peel and Reveal” peel off mask.  There’s another variant of this peel off, but its more pricier than this.  Checked both at the counter, did not find any major difference between the two and that’s why picked this up 🙂  Let’s check out whether its worth the price and hype.

Product Description:

This radiance-revealing facial mask combines vitamin rich cabernet grapeseed extract with the refining powers of alpha and beta hydroxy acids.  Its multi-benefit formula retexturizes and exfoliates as it minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines.  Skin is soft and smooth, visibly firm and revitalized with a healthy-looking glow.

How To Use:

With sponge, apply a thin, even layer over face, avoiding eye area.  Initial tingling sensation may occur.  Allow it to dry completely for 15 to 20 minutes.  To remove, gently peel upward, beginning at jawline.  Rinse off excess with warm water.  Use 1 to 2 times per week.

My Take on Elizabeth Arden Intervene Peel and Reveal Revitalizing Treatment:

I was going through the ingredients at the counter and among other ingredients saw glycolic acid, sugar maple extract, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, oat kernel extract, orange fruit extract, lemon fruit extract, purple coneflower extract, horsetail plant extract, peach fruit extract, sugar cane extract, willow bark extract, wheat germ extract, bilberry extract, grapeseed extract, galactoarabinan (which is known to have skin renewing efficiency), castor oil, glycerin, and salicylic acid, and I was completely bowled over.  This seemed to be a miracle pack with a whole lot of fruit and herb extracts.

Its a peel-off mask in a highly inappropriate tub packaging.  Peel off mask in a tub, that’s so not practical. There’s a sponge provided in the packaging, which is completely useless and leads to product wastage.  I have to scoop out a little amount on my palm and then apply it on the face with fingers.  It would have been so much easier if it came in a tube.  Of course, there is a protective lid to prevent spillage.

The product is a thick red-purple gooey gel which has a strong alcohol+fruity scent.  If you take it too near to the nose, it kind of smells pungent.

Instructions mention it to apply it in a thin and even layer on the face with the sponge.  I do not use the sponge, but I apply a thin layer with my fingers.  It spreads nicely and evenly and take less than 10 minutes to dry off completely.  After drying, it comes off the face pretty easily, no tugging and sticky bits here and there.

Well, the effects, there is nothing great to write about.  When the peel came off, skin felt soft, but then when there are so many ingredients involved, you expect a lot out of the product, I was disappointed that it didn’t do much.  It doesn’t add any glow and the exfoliating effect is not that great either.  If I have to compare it to any product, I would say it works pretty much like Everyuth Golden Glow Peel Off Mask, but but! with so many amazing ingredients, it would be a treat for a skin once in a while, the only thing, do not expect much in return 😛

I would like to try the hydrating mask next which is so much raved about, but least to say, this was a disappointment 🙁

Summing up the pros and cons:

Pros of Elizabeth Arden Intervene Peel and Reveal Revitalizing Treatment:

  • Contains the goodness of many herbal and fruit extracts.
  • Contains glycolic and salicylic acid.
  • Skin feels soft.
  • Its a good treat for the skin, feels like a tonic to the skin.

Cons of Elizabeth Arden Intervene Peel and Reveal Revitalizing Treatment:

  • With all those amazing ingredients, you expect a lot, but its an average peel of mask.
  • Does not do much.
  • Price is on the higher side for an average product.

Will I Repurchase Elizabeth Arden Intervene Peel and Reveal Revitalizing Treatment?

Nope, would not repurchase it, but would definitely finish this mask to its last bit.

Do I Recommend Elizabeth Arden Intervene Peel and Reveal Revitalizing Treatment?

Nope, if you are looking for a magic potion, but otherwise, if you among those who believe in “feeding” good things to the skin, then you can try this one, although it doesn’t do much in terms of instant results.
