Elizabeth Arden Intervene Radiance Boosting Moisture Lotion SPF 15

Hi Ladies,

I am back with another post.  I finally received my beautiful shoes from Done by None and I am elated.  This weekend couldn’t get any better. Back to today’s beautiful lotion, this is the Elizabeth Arden Intervene Radiance Boosting Lotion. I got to say, I am pretty impressed with the product. You get radiant from using this lotion and I am not even joking. Post my shower, before I get ready, I moisturize my face with this lotion and put on my makeup. After 2 hours, I can still see a flawless slight glow which isn’t even from the makeup.  Coming to the SPF 15 claim, I wouldn’t trust the SPF 15 protection. Though it does have Avobenzone (an ingredient in most sunscreens), it cannot be mistaken for a sunscreen which would have higher concentrations of Avobenzone. One good thing is the bottle is air tight which means no contamination (or using it to store low–priced creams when empty *wink wink*).

My Experience with Elizabeth Arden Intervene Radiance Boosting Moisture Lotion SPF 15:

I loved it! The lack of fragrance doesn’t bother me. Though we love to smell nice, if you are using this product under makeup, then fragrance hardly matters. That freshness we crave after washing our face and applying a lotion, you get it from this product. I can instantly feel a difference. After using it for 5 months (quite sparingly, might I add), there has been a slight improvement in terms of skin radiance and reduction of marks.  I never used to trust creams before as I would read the ingredients and do a Google search and most scientists said creams would have the same base formulation, so most feel the same, but I did feel a difference. However, I noticed if my face was oily and I applied the cream, it made my face feel like I rubbed oil all over it. My T-zone appeared too shiny. So, oily skin people may not want to buy this product.  This is no miracle lotion. I did not find myself looking like my 18 year old self. As far as anti-ageing goes, it failed!

Pros of Elizabeth Arden Intervene Radiance Boosting Moisture Lotion SPF 15:

  • Air tight packaging prevents contamination for future use.
  • Skin appears fresh and radiant.
  • Suitable for dry skin.
  • Doesn’t feel heavy after application.
  • Does lighten marks slightly, I noticed my dark spots reduce to small blurs.
  • Absorbs fast.
  • Thickness is quite decent for a lotion.

Cons of Elizabeth Arden Intervene Radiance Boosting Moisture Lotion SPF 15:

  • Fragrance is too mild, almost like there is no scent.
  • Too pricey but then again for the brand, I guess it’s okay.
  • Tested on animals.
  • Not recommended for oily skin people. The product would make your skin look too glossy and oily.
  • SPF 15 cannot be trusted, SPF 15 isn’t a good enough factor to protect Indian skin.
  • Oxinoxate ingredient could cause allergies if it enters the eyes.

Would I Repurchase Elizabeth Arden Intervene Radiance Boosting Moisture Lotion SPF 15?

Yes, I would buy this product again.  I have had a good experience with it, seems like a professional lotion for the face and neck. The lack of fragrance doesn’t bother me much. If you have oily skin, I would recommend you stay away from this product. My skin is combination which means come summers, it’s oily and in winters, its dry and peels.  It has suited my skin up until now. I have been using it strictly for the past 5 months. For those who have dry skin, this lotion would spread so easily and feel perfect on the skin. It doesn’t feel heavy or very oily.

    1. you are right jomol. howeverr two products are an exception: skin illuminating complex and and the resynchronising night serum.i have crazy oily skin and teh skin illuminating complex suits my skin perfectly and gives me that glow-no really- that i never got with any other product. serum- my mum uses and she loves it withher oily skin. i can see teh difference in her 60+ skin so clearly.

  1. This looks good but the main con is SPF *headbang* *headbang* such a low content will not work here i think *cry* *cry* but very well explained and i love elizabeth perfumes more than their skin care as i have oily skin and most of the products are heavy and break me out *headbang*

    1. True Saloni and Jomol..They make me break out too.Off late I have not had a single pimple or dark mark left behind and hope the good skin continues.Today i felt my skin was bleeding oil.
