Hello beautiful ladies,

Today I will be writing about my experience on an affordable lipstick from Elle 18. As we all know that the color pop range from Elle 18 comes just for INR 100 and they are available in a huge variety of shades. Before buying this color I had three of them and I liked them so much that I brought 3 more. After buying these I have finally realized that not all the colors are equally amazing. Some are better than the others. Today the one I will be talking about is shade no. 1 and is called Iced Chocolate.

Packaging:

Elle 18 color pops comes in an all black packaging with an oval shaped lid. The lipstick contains the picture of an animated lady which adds to the cuteness of the lipstick.

Ingredients:

Cocoa butter, Jojoba Oil, Rose Water and Almonds. These are the only ingredients mentioned.

My take on Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick – Iced Chocolate:

As the name iced chocolate tells, 01 is a frosty shade of brown. I personally don’t like frosty shades much but as it was affordable I thought of trying this. When this came I was even more disappointed to see that this lipstick contains shimmers too, another character which I don’t like much. But as I brought it, I decided to try it, hoping that it would look good on me and I will like it.

There are certain things that I liked about this and this is not because of the color, they are the common things that I like in color pop lipsticks. Starting with the smell of these lipsticks, they contain cocoa butter and thus smell amazing. These lipsticks are smooth to apply and do not dry lips. As they already contain cocoa butter, you can eliminate the extra layer of lip butter beneath this. The best part about them is their price and if you get on discount, like I got, you can never regret buying it, even if you don’t like it.

Now coming to the point which I didn’t like about this, the shimmers. The shimmers are not very chunky, they are not visible on the lips as such till the time you try to remove the lipstick. When after some time the lipstick starts fading, these tiny sparkles becomes visible and trust me they are really difficult to remove. When the lipstick is completely worn off, the only thing left are these sparkles which need at least twice the amount of effort to remove as any lipstick normally does.

Pros of Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick – Iced Chocolate:

• Cute and sturdy packaging
• Affordable
• Comes in a large variety of colors
• Amazing smell
• Smooth to apply
• Does not dry lips

Cons of Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick – Iced Chocolate:

• Shimmers become difficult to remove.
• All the colors looks same in the packaging, it is difficult to recognize the color without opening the lid.
• Frosty finish.

Would I buy Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick – Iced Chocolate again?

I might buy 2-3 more in different colors but i will not buy the same color again as I am not very fond of sparkles on my lips especially because they are difficult to remove.

Do I recommend Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick – Iced Chocolate?

I won’t recommend this color until you love frosty and sparkly lip colors. But if you are a sparkle lover, you may try this shade. But otherwise these lipsticks are worth try.
