Elle 18 Majestic Maroon Color Pops Lipstick Review

Okay, today I’ll be showing another variant of Elle 18 Color Pops. Mulberry Splash was a total skip. Lets see if Majestic Maroon follows suit or not!

Price:

INR 120-150. I got it for INR 130.

My Experience on Elle 18 Majestic Maroon Color Pops Lipstick:

Packaging: Elle 18 lipsticks come in a very classic black plastic packaging with a girl in pink printed over it. The plastic with which it’s made isn’t sturdy. It cracks as soon as it hits the ground, I have experienced it. The rotating/retractable mechanism works very well and the cap shuts with a click. The sticker at the bottom displays the shade number and name. It isn’t colour coded so it’s difficult to find the shade you’re looking for quickly. Also, there is no list of ingredients mentioned anywhere on the packaging.

Colour/Pigmentation: The colour of Majestic Maroon is a very rich maroon colour. It is a maroonish berry colour that would suit all skin tones. Plus, it has no shimmer in it. I usually tend to pick up darker colours because of the fear that the shade might not suit me. The shade is perfect for work or date nights. College going girls could also use this. I like to swipe this lippie on my lips and then even it out by using a lip balm. The pigmentation is good. It can be built up easily. Two to three swipes are needed for a bold maroon pout.

 

Texture: The texture is smooth enough. It doesn’t tug or pull on the lips. It is creamy, but certainly not the creamiest lipstick in the world. It provides moisture to the lips as long as it’s on the lips. When you wipe it off, your lips feel dry. It’s not at all hydrating.

Staying Power: This one stays on your lips for 3 hours with fading, obviously. It transfers very easily. It fades with a snack/drink/meal. Not a big fan of the staying power. When it fades, it leaves a nice tint to the lips.

Smell/Taste: Hate the smell. Not a fan of it’s taste either. All Elle 18 Lipsticks have the same smell to them, which is very irritating. This one’s not as bitter as Wildberry Wet, but still, I don’t like it.

Pros of Elle 18 Majestic Maroon Color Pops Lipstick:

• Many colours to choose from.
• Pocket friendly price.
• This colour will suit all skin tones.
• No shimmer.
• Creamy enough to glide without tugging or pulling.
• Moisturises as long as it stays on the lips.

Cons of Elle 18 Majestic Maroon Color Pops Lipstick:

• Dries out when wiped off from the lips.
• Staying power.
• Smell & Taste.
• Transfers.

Final Verdict:

I would recommend it to you guys if you can bear with all the cons. And, since it’s just for 150 bucks (or less), buying this won’t burn a hole in your pocket and you won’t regret it. It’s a decent product for such a price.
