Elle 18 Miss Pink Color Boost Lipstick Review

Today I’ll be reviewing an Elle 18’s newly launched lipstick. I bought a few more lipsticks from this range as I really loved the others. Let’s get started! 🙂

My Experience with Elle 18 Miss Pink Color Boost Lipstick:

Packaging: They have smartly revamped their lipstick packaging. It’s the same as their previous lipsticks. Just the lid’s colour has been changed to bright pink. It’s super feminine and gorgeous to look at. The shade name and number is printed on a sticker at the bottom. If you have more than one lipstick from this range, then it might take some time to spot the shade you are looking for.

Colour/Pigmentation: These Elle 18 lipsticks are ‘dual cored’ as they describe them. The previous lipsticks had a lip balm core, but apparently, these lipsticks don’t have the lip balm core. It’s a coloured core as you can see in the pictures. Miss Pink is a very feminine and flirty pink colour. It is a true pink and looks like a blue-based pink on the lips. This shade will flatter fair skin tones. It does wash me out a little bit so I have to wear either a dark pink gloss over this or a dark coloured lip liner under it. But I adore the shade! It’s more suited for girls aged till 25. It’s a beautiful shade! I even like the pigmentation of this lipstick. You don’t need any more than 3 coats for beautiful pouty lips! It leaves behind a cute pink stain behind when removed.

Texture: I like the texture of this lipstick. It’s smooth and creamy. It glides on super easily. It doesn’t tug or pull. It doesn’t exactly moisturize your lips but your lips won’t feel dry either. It isn’t too soft, which is a plus. The previous lipsticks used to be super soft and would often melt very easily when kept outside. Let’s just say it has the right amount of creaminess! But I noticed that when you apply this particular shade over a lip balm, it just messes everything up! It glides smoothly, no doubt but tends to appear patchy. So it’s better to use this on bare lips.

Staying Power: I’m impressed by the staying power of this lipstick. It lasted for a good 4-5 hours on me that too with all the talking and snacking! Elle 18 lipsticks never stayed more than 1 hour on my lips! 🙂

Smell/Taste: These smell like cocoa butter which is sweet and I don’t mind the fragrance because it doesn’t linger. It has a slightly bitter taste though.
Summing up the pros and cons…

Pros of Elle 18 Miss Pink Color Boost Lipstick:

• Super Affordable.
• Pretty shades available.
• Girly and super cute packaging.
• Creamy texture.
• Stays longer.
• Doesn’t melt.
• Nicely Pigmented.

Cons of Elle 18 Miss Pink Color Boost Lipstick:

• Tastes slightly bitter.
• This particular shade won’t suit medium to dark skin tones!

Final Verdict:
If not this particular shade, you have to get at least one shade from this range! It’s impressive and justifies the price completely!
