ELLE 18 recently launched the ‘Color Pops Matte Lipsticks’ range in India with 20 beautiful shades. From this range, I have picked up 8 shades. I have already reviewed ‘First Love’. Today’s review is going to be on the shade ‘Pink Kiss’ and it is a very natural pink for all. Read on for more details.

My Experience with Elle 18 Pink Kiss Color Pops Matte Lipstick:
Elle 18 matte lipstick comes in a cute black packaging with a girl’s face printed on the cap. But the packaging is common to all lipsticks by Elle 18, so it is quite difficult to identify a particular shade. The cute tube is easy to carry around but, the packaging isn’t very sturdy. Otherwise, I really like this super affordable cute girly packaging.
This range has a huge variety of shades like red, orange, pink, mauve, and brown. ‘Pink Kiss’ is from their pink range. It is a natural dusky pink shade with a hint of mauve. It goes with all skin tones and looks beautiful. It is a perfect daily wear shade. For me it is a nice muted shade which I love a lot.
Currently I love this kind of mauve, dusky pink shades; it looks nice at work place. It has a neutral undertone and it looks fresh on lips. Also, the shade is nicely pigmented and needs maximum two swipes for true color pay off. It can hide pigmented lips.
They call it a “matte lipstick” but I prefer to call it creamy-matte. Its smooth and soft texture glides easily on the lips and it provides an even application. This shade has a nice soft velvety matte texture. It has a non-drying finish which keeps the lips soft and moisturized for long. But, after a few hours, it settles down to a nice matte stain. It never makes my lip dry or patchy; only after meal, center of my lips feel little dry but the problem can be solved with a lip balm. Otherwise, it is a really a hydrating lipstick which doesn’t highlight dry patches.
It doesn’t contain any shimmers which is really nice. It does transfer right after the application but not too much like any creamy lipstick. I am really happy with the quality. It doesn’t mess around lip area and it never creases or doesn’t settle in fine lines also.
Pink Kiss stays nicely on me for around 4-5 hours. After 4 hours, it starts to fade and then it leaves a natural pink stain on the lips, which lasts longer. It can survive normal snacks but not a heavy lunch properly; after lunch it looks faded out. It needs reapplication after 4hrs for the perfect look. It is also easy to remove with a makeup remover wipe.
It is really worth the money as it gives a nice non drying matte finish with beautiful natural pink lips. It is the most affordable matte lipstick available in Indian market and it does its job perfectly with a nice staying power. I am totally obsessed with this cute shade.
