My Experience with Elle 18 Rose Day Color Pops Matte Lipstick:

Elle 18 matte lipstick comes in a cute black packaging with a lovely girl’s face printed over the cap. But the packaging is common to all lipsticks by Elle 18, so it is quite difficult to identify a particular shade. The cute tube is easy to carry around. But, the twist mechanism isn’t very sturdy. Otherwise, it is quite a fun and girly packaging.

Like its beautiful name it’s also a beautiful rosy pink shade with a touch of fuchsia. It looks really bright and gorgeous on all skin tone. We all love such kind of vibrant pink shade that goes with any outfit. It is a nice shade for both day and night. It instantly brightens up my face. It doesn’t contain any shimmer. Also, the shade is very pigmented, it only needs two swipes for the perfect color pay off. It can hide pigmented lips.

It is a nice creamy matte lipstick. Its smooth and soft texture glides easily on the lips and it provides an even application. This shade has a nice soft velvety creamy matte texture. But it is not 100% matte. It has a non-drying finish which keeps the lips soft and moisturized for long.

After a few hours, it settles down to a nice matte stain. It never makes my lips dry; only after a meal or 5 hours it might feel dry if you have really chapped lips. Otherwise, it is a really a hydrating lipstick which doesn’t highlight dry patches.

It does transfer just after the application but once it settles down to a matte stain, it transfers less. It doesn’t settle in fine lines or never creases. Application is smooth and it never looks patchy. I am really happy with the quality.

It stays for around 5 hours nicely. After 4 hours, it starts to fade and then it leaves a nice deep pink stain on the lips which last quite long. It can survive medium lunch but, after lunch it looks faded, but it needs a good remover to remove the stain from lips. Overall it’s a very pretty pink for all and considering the price it is actually good. Really love it!
