Emami Malai Kesar Cold Cream

Hi friends!!
What’s keeping all of you busy these days? As for me, I am busy in preparing my winter army, from taking out woolen clothes to arranging them in racks plus buying products that would defend my skin against the extremes. In my previous post I had reviewed one cold cream that had pleasantly surprised me by suiting my skin type, I wanted another one for my parents who have dry skin. Keep reading to find out whether my second cold cream worked or not.

EmamiMalai Kesar Cold Cream

My experience with Emami Malai Kesar Cold Cream:

The first that I want to focus upon is the packaging even though I know that it is the least important factor while deciding the efficiency of a product. It comes packed in a cute jar with a yellow cap, I think its just too cute and am going to use it to store things once the cream gets over. This cold cream smells nice like regular cold creams and its smell does not resemble saffron as I was expecting but at this price I think I am asking for too much.

It has a thick but easy to apply consistency such that I do not have to struggle and not just massage it onto my skin. On applying it takes time to get absorbed but makes the face looks oily. Fortunately I do not have pimple prone skin so I did not get any breakouts but I doubt if it will be the same for everyone. So its definitely not meant for oily or combination to oily skin. When my mother who has dry skin used it she thanked me for picking this up for her. It nourishes and protects the skin as claimed. On dry skin like hers it gets absorbed within some time and the skin looks healthy and velvet smooth. It gives a dewy finish to the skin and does not feel heavy at all.

Plus it acts as a good make up base for dry skin as it does not cause sweating. By healing the flakiness of skin it makes skin smooth enough for wearing make up. I have used this as a lip make up remover too and it helps in that too. It healed my minor heel cracks and made my elbows smooth.

Not just a good day cream but also it’s a great night cream. My mother uses this before going to bed and wakes up with baby soft and smooth skin. There is absolutely nothing that one can complain about this cream except for the fact that they should mention that its meant solely for normal to dry skin. Being a good day cream it prevents the skin from drying for 5-6 hours and needs to be reapplied only after that. All one needs is to wear some sun protection over this before heading out in the sun. I believe this will the best friend of dry skin even in severe winters.

Emami Malai Kesar Cold Cream

Pros of Emami Malai Kesar Cold Cream:

• Boon for dry skin
• Best friend in severe winters
• Contains the goodness of malai and aloe vera
• Heals dry skin
• Hydrates dry skin for a long time
• Skin feels baby soft when left on skin overnight
• Works on cracked heels
• Removes lip make up easily
• Easily available
• Inexpensive
• A small jar would go a long way

Cons of Emami Malai Kesar Cold Cream:

• May cause breakouts on oily skin

Rate: 4/5 (for dry skin)

Overall verdict: In all if you are looking for a heavy cold cream to help you survive in the chilly winters then this is an excellent option for you, it hydrates, heals and locks in moisture as claimed. But this is a must avoid product for girls with acne prone skin as its extreme oiliness may give you breakouts. While others who are worried about their extra dry skin do get this and you would not be disappointed for sure.
