Enliven Daily Care Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion Review

Enliven Daily Care Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion

Hi Ladies,

Last week, my mom went shopping and remembered me complaining about winters and the dry skin that comes with it. She picked up this lotion along with some conditioners and shampoos from the same brand. I was all happy happy when she got home. I was nostalgic and was reliving the memories, when my dad used to get me “Kiss me bar” candies when I was a kit.

Product Description:

Enlivens range of skin care is made for those who strive to keep their skin looking fresh and healthy all day long. Enliven Cocoa Butter Lotion is light and designed to keep your skin feeling nourished and smooth. Made using Cocoa butter, this Enliven lotion provides conditioning and moisturization all over the body leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. The lotion is suitable for women as well as men who have dry skin. Slather this lotion over your dry skin and get prepared to reveal skin as smooth as silk in an instant.

My Experience with Enliven Daily Care Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion:

The lotion is non greasy. It has a mild cocoa fragrance which is pleasant for me. Basically, it smells slightly like a chocolate pastry. I smell like chocolates for 30 minutes and it fades away soon enough. It comes with a flip-open cap on the top and the consistency is quite runny which is evident from the swatch. So one needs to be careful. My body skin is dry and this is definitely not a good buy. I applied a large amount of the lotion but I felt as if I haven’t used anything. It is very light & watery and does nothing to moisturise and condition the skin as it claims. I don’t think it would suit normal skin too so no way it is meant for dry skin. The lotion gets evaporated somewhere and I immediately need to reapply and often too.

Skin feels itchy and dry which I hate during winters. My skin is soft and smooth and this lotion has done nothing great to add anything to the texture. The directions mention “Apply lotion generously and as frequently as you like”. Do they mean frequently and immediately? I have used it for 4 consecutive days and it’s a dud lotion for me. Now, I take some lotion and add some almond or jojoba or olive oil in my hand and apply it. I have also tried using it by adding some sugar making it  a scrub, and I think it works best this way.

My likes regarding Enliven Daily Care Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion:

• Non-sticky.

My dislikes regarding Enliven Daily Care Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion:

• Does not moisturize skin at all.
• Very runny in consistency.
• Skin feels dry after repeated application.
• Does not do away with the itchy feeling in winters.

Would I recommend Enliven Daily Care Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion?

No way. Don’t fall for the price tag!

Would I repurchase Enliven Daily Care Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion?

Noooooo. This is the worst lotion I have ever used.

  1. Exactly my experience 😀 I picked it up in a pound shop once during my stay in london but only ended up throwing it away. God knows what they have put in it 😛

  2. Wow i wanted to buy this one when i read that it smells like chocolates for 30 mins.. i would love that feeling.. but doesn’t moisturise then what’s the use 🙁

  3. @Neha, Bhawana and Saloni, its the most horrible skin care product I have ever used…
@Pramita, Its like none were buying it in the UK so they dumped it in India.
