We all suffer from blackheads and white heads at some point or other – some have a little more than others, some are conspicuous on face and some not so much but no matter what, they are always undesirable and have to be dealt with firm but efficient hand.
Fortunately, I don’t have that grave acne but once in a while I tend to gently scrub my face, to remove dead skin and occasional stray whiteheads and blackheads. This product is for those scrubbing sessions.

My Take On Equate Blackhead Clearing Scrub:

We all have attended those facial sessions in saloons and spas. The usual takeaways of these excruciatingly long sessions are that they are expensive, boring and almost futile. I achieve better results with my own facial sessions that I do at home and save loads of money. I start the process with cleansing, followed by scrubbing and this product is perfect for it.

Packaging: Product comes in a long tube with big, flat and round cap. Cap is broad enough to make it stand on vanity.
Color and fragrance: Product is lavender in color with dark blue tiny particles. It does not have a very significant fragrance.

Usage: Pea size product is required for entire face. Wet the face and gently scrub in circular strokes. Apply water on palms as and when required, and continue the process for 4 to 5 minutes or till desired. However, always avoid force or try to forcefully remove big blackheads – this will leave bruises which will eventually become large open craters.

Conclusion: This product is a cheap version of higher end facial scrubs but is as good as them. After few minutes of scrub, it leaves my face spic and span and gives smooth skin, significantly reducing tiny blackhead and white heads. I also use it, at times, for scrubbing my lips and it is perfect for gently exfoliating them and getting rid of chapped lips.

Since it is not very expensive and tube has decent amount of product, I also use it as a body scrub along with a body brush and it makes shaving my legs easier. It reduces ingrown hair to a certain amount and makes my legs shiny and smooth.

• Good packaging- easy to store and carry around.
• Good dupe of higher end scrubs.
• Not very expensive.
• Can be used as a body scrub and also, to exfoliate lips.
• Very gentle on skin.
• Leaves skin and shiny.
• Reduces appearance of black heads and white heads.

Cons of Equate Blackhead Clearing Scrub:

• Availability can be an issue for some.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Equate Blackhead Clearing Scrub?
Maybe not because it will last me a long time since I don’t use it that often and when I do, small quantity is enough for one time usage. I totally recommend it to all those who are looking for a cheap yet effective facial scrub.
