Greetings to all complexion conscious beauties!!
Summer season is here and I am sure there are many like me, who love the summer, just because we get to wear shorts and skirts. It’s fun to flaunt legs in cute shorts and also, they are so much more comfortable than that skinny jean which makes one sweat to death. The only drawback is sun tanning and UV radiation damage, so to combat that, there are sport sunscreen lotions with extreme SPF. I purchased one recently from my local Walgreens; keep reading to know more about it.
• SPF 50
• Helps prevent sunburn.
• Water resistant (80 minutes).
• Quick-dry, no-slip formula.
My Experience With Equate Sport Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50:
Even though I carry an umbrella with me during hot summer days, I still get tanned. I say this after my tryst with tan removal sessions, that it’s a pain in the neck to restore tanned skin to its original color. Tanning under direct sun not only ruins skin color, it also causes permanent damage and premature aging due to UV radiations and in worse case – skin cancer.
We can avoid that entire nightmare just by including a sun screen lotion in our daily beauty regime. One can invest in an expensive lotion for face and neck, and another one which is not so pricey one for other body parts. This sunscreen is one such cheap yet effective lotion I purchased to protect my precious skin.
Packaging: Lotion comes in a tube like packaging which tapers at the end. It has a nozzle cap to squeeze out the product. The cap is broad enough to make the tube stand on it.
Texture: It is thick in consistency similar to that of a body butter. It is easy to blend and gets easily absorbed into the skin. It does not feel heavy on the skin nor leaves an obvious white cast, however, I would not recommend using it on face except while swimming or running under sun.
Fragrance: It has a very strong smell, so strong to the point that I got a headache. I can use it on my legs, but I cannot apply it anywhere close to my nostrils or I might get a throbbing headache. Because of such strong heady smell, I am contemplating returning this lotion and trying some other brand.
Wear time: Wear time is very clearly mentioned on the back side of the tube; however, I am not sure about the efficacy. One cannot expect absolute protection from sun, from any lotion but it’s better to avoid sun as much as one can. If that is not possible, then apply sun screen lotion liberally every few hours, and more frequently if swimming in chlorinated water.
Conclusion: This is a good lotion and does act as a shield against sun; however the smell is such a turn off, that I will most likely return it.

Cons of Equate Sport Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50:
• Smell is way too heady and strong for my liking.
• Not that potent while swimming.
Would I Repurchase This Product Equate Sport Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50??
No, I would try out other brands with better fragrance. In fact, smell is a general caveat for all the buyers who purchase sports sun screen lotion.
