Skin Type : Normal to Dry
Skintone : Medium light with slight yellow undertone
I was having a major K Beauty moment while I was in Paris. All thanks to the lovely cute displays at Sephora. I love Korean beauty stuff. Some of their products are extremely good, and for me, sheet masks are a life saviour. I love using them. They are instant “pick-me-ups” for me. Erborian Glow Creme, as the name suggests, is a light lilac lavender illuminating cream that would give you that “glow from within” kind of a look. It is a Korean beauty product.
Most Asian people can have very strong yellow undertone that can make your skin look sallow, so when you put a lavender-ish base, this counteracts the yellowness of the skin and makes it look more neutral and balanced. This would work for a majority of people because most people do have yellow undertones, but if you already have pink in your skin, you really don’t to add more pink on your skin with this. It gives a lovely glow to the skin.
You can use it underneath your foundation (best for those with normal to dry skin), just on high points of the face (all skin types) or just on its own on bare skin to get that overall glow, especially on days when your skin is looking dull. I would not recommend the last option for those with oily skin.
This Erborian Glow Creme comes in an easy-to-use tube. It does not feel heavy or greasy. Although if used a lot, it can look too shiny/oily. I suggest using it sparingly, it’s best to use it only on high points of the face if you have oily/combination skin.
It does make a difference to how your foundation looks. It adds that lit-from-within kind of a glow when you use it as a primer. It does not clog the pores. The little pink glitters in the cream can be bothersome to a few but they are very fine and really don’t make you look like a disco ball.
It has a lovely powdery fragrance to it, but that can be both a pro and a con. Never broke me out or irritated my skin.
I have used it in this look HERE underneath the makeup to get an overall dewy glow.
Overall, you really don’t need this in your life but it is definitely a good one. I am not crazy about it, but it’s nothing special in my collection. I’d use it till it lasts.
Some good dupes would be – MAC Strobe Cream – you get it in lots of shades, the ones that can suit your skin tone perfectly; Colorbar Illuminating lotion, CoverFX Illuminating Primer is another great option.
