I am back with another product review. Today I will be reviewing a shimmering body lotion by Esprit from their “Celebration” range.

My experience with Esprit shimmering body lotion:

I always wanted to have one good shimmering moisturizing lotion to make my skin hydrated and gleaming instantly. The lightweight product has light reflective pigments which gives my skin a very subtle shine but not very flashy types. It does not make my skin shine like those celebrities you see in Fashion magazines, but does give it a nice glow if looked under light. So it may not suit people who are looking for lotions with bronzing effect to have a sun-kissed look.

The texture is very creamy and not runny in nature, so it is easy to apply. It is a highly moisturizing body lotion that softens, smoothes and adds radiance to my skin in an instant. It absorbs very easily leaving my skin hydrated for a long time. It does not make my skin too oily, so it’s suitable for people with oily skin also. I use it all over my body (not face) while going for a night-out or a party for an instant evening glamour. I do not use it as a daily moisturizer.

The product comes in a bright red tube with a lid and is very hygienic to use. The packaging doesn’t say anything about the product except the ingredient list.

I totally fell in love with the fragrance the moment I tried it on my hand (So I bought a combo pack of Perfume and body lotion from the same range and off course with same fragrance…ahh just love it!!). The lotion has a strong smell with a combination of citrus and floral notes. It lingers on my skin for a very really long time. I don’t even feel the need of using any perfume or any other fragrance after using it. In all, it plays the part of a good perfumed moisturizer with a little luminance to it.

Pros of Esprit shimmering body lotion:

• Moisturizes well .
• Fragrance is “legen………(wait for it)….dary”.
• The smell stays for a long time.
• Hygienic packaging.
• Suitable for day-outs also.
• Suitable for oily skin.

Cons of Esprit shimmering body lotion:

• Price is on the higher side.
• Does not give a high shimmery look .
• Availability may be an issue.
• No product description on the tube.

Do I Recommend Esprit Shimmering Body Lotion?

Yes, I would certainly recommend to all those who are looking for body lotions with a strong smell.

Would I Repurchase Esprit Shimmering Body Lotion?

No, I don’t think so. I use it only on special occasions, so I am still left with more than half of it and am now kinda getting an overdose of this smell as I own a bottle of perfume too from the same range…so you know after sometime it starts getting on your nerves, no matter how good it is….but otherwise I definitely give it a heads-up!!
