Essence 01 Black Stays No Matter What Waterproof Eye Pencil Review

I am sure we all buy some products which look promising but turn out to be such duds! Such waste of money! Well, recently I got one such product which seemed like a good buy (I got it online), but when I finally got it I was so very disappointed. Let’s talk about Essence Stays No Matter What Waterproof Eye pencil in 01 Black.

Party-proof! This eye pencil is a must-have for every beauty bag. The plastic pen-shaped kajal can be sharpened and is sure to stay put! Its soft and creamy texture offers great coverage and won’t smudge. It is also waterproof and lasts all day at temperatures of up to 40˚c.

Packaging:
A very basic black pencil which has the details printed on it in neon colors. The cap closes securely and you can carry it around (that is if you do purchase it after this review!). It sharpenable and not retractable which I would have loved.

My Experience with Essence 01 Black Stays No Matter What Waterproof Eye Pencil:

Let’s just say this pencil is a disappointment. The texture seemed okayish initially, but it causes a lot of tugging or pulling on the delicate eye area. The first thing you want in an eye pencil is ease of application, and the way I have to keep on rubbing it to get some color deposited on my lids makes me wary. The pigmentation is heartbreaking. Firstly one swipe doesn’t even show up, and even on multiple swipes I find a slight grayish tint. It is nowhere close to jet black or even black! Plus, the tip crumbles with the pressure of application (you can understand the plight of trying to get it on your eyelids)!

Sharpening is equally problematic, and you see uneven and wobbly tips! Honestly, I can’t comment on the staying power because I never wore it for any occasion. The extremely useless formula makes me want to cry, each time I try to apply it I become frustrated. I thought I would try to do at least a smudged grayish eye makeup with this, my eyes started watering by the torture inflicted on getting some color out of this. Waterproof, smudgeproof: I honestly can’t comment on traits like these, you can’t blame me for removing it within some minutes!

Trying to get this on my lids was such a challenge; I swiped it so many times, failed, sharpened and ultimately drew a thick line with this for this EOTD. In one sentence, this is the worst eye liner I have ever come across! Stay away from this!
