I saw some really cute eyebrow products from Essence and Makeup Revolution, and picked them up to finally give brow products a shot. Let’s see how this little cutie worked for my brows.

My Experience with Essence 02 Browny Brows Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara:
I think this is a new launch from Essence, and whenever Essence launches new products, I cannot resist picking them up. This is my first brow product, so I did not really have a set of expectations from it. And by the way, I don’t like bold brows because I really cannot handle them and they don’t look good on me. So, I was looking out for a light brow product.
Packaging: I got to know that this product is inspired or should I say copied from “Benefit Gimme Brow”. But I think that copying or inspiration is totally beneficial for us since we know how expensive Benefit is, and how cheap Essence is. The Essence brow mascara comes in a tiny bottle which is super travel-friendly. The packaging is the colour of the brow mascara which makes it easier to spot. The wand is like a mascara wand but smaller in size. I feel the wand could have been better because the product from the middle of the wand doesn’t really appear on the brows. But it is still okay, not a major con.
Shade: The brow mascara comes in 2 shades; Blondy Brows and Browny Brows. Blondy one will not suit Indian skin tones, so technically we just have one shade – the brown one. The colour exactly matches my brows and it looks like I haven’t really applied anything. This would perfectly match all the brow shades, be it black or brown.
Formula and results: The formula is actually gel mascara in deep brown shade. It isn’t a very pigmented or a dark one, and that is the reason I really like it. The gel is thick, but not extremely thick. The formula makes it glide very smoothly over my brows without creating a lot of mess. It combs my lashes nicely and then imparts the formula on it making my brows look prim and perfect. The gel isn’t very powerful and hence it does not stick all the hair together. I have some hairs at the start of my brow which stand up, so this mascara couldn’t really fix them. Layering is the trick here until you reach the desired colour.
It imparts a light colour to my eyebrows without making them look fake or noticeable. Yes, it makes my sparse brows look denser as claimed and give them a nice shape too. So it does everything it says. But this is not something that will help you create a bold brow look, for that you need pencils which are super pigmented and have darker shades. But I love this because I am not really comfortable with bold brows. It stays on my brows till the end of the day without budging or smudging. It does not even come off if I rub it, but it is not waterproof, so it can be easily removed with water. A total thumbs up for this one as it works well, and it is very cheap too.
Pros of Essence 02 Browny Brows Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara:
• The brow mascara looks damn cute in its tiny, travel friendly packaging
• Available all around, and in 2 shades
• The formula is really good and imparts a very natural look to my brows
• Does not appear too dramatic on the brows
• It makes my brows look denser and perfectly defined
• It adds that light brown colour to the sparse areas on my brows
• Stays put all day long without smudging
• Essence does not test on animals
Cons of Essence 02 Browny Brows Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara:
• You cannot get bold brow look with this one
• It stiffens up my brows a bit
• The wand could have been better
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Essence 02 Browny Brows Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara?
I wouldn’t really get this again because I am going to use this very occasionally, hence it will last really long. But if have to, this will surely be my first option to splurge on. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a product that can enhance your eyebrows.

Conclusion:
What I really love about this one is that no can really make out that I have applied something on my brows. It is also not as noticeable as pencils and powders.
