Essence 15 Most Wanted Quattro Eyeshadow Review

I got hooked on to colored eye liners and eye shadows because of IMBB. The glam ladies here taught me how to do some eye makeup and I can’t thank them enough for that. So I started looking for some affordable eyeshadow palettes that could be used to create daytime and nighttime looks. I have tried a few by Lakme and Maybelline, and adding a few more to my kitty, I got this quad set of eyeshadows. The colors looked decent enough for daytime and evening looks, and hence I picked up Essence Quattro Eyeshadow in Most Wanted. Let’s get going!

Packaging:
The packaging is cute, but not sturdy. It is extremely easy to slip in your handbags, even your sling bags or pouches. But I don’t trust the plastic casing as I feel it is not sturdy enough. And it is definitely not one of the most elegant eye shadow palettes out in the market.

My Experience with Essence 15 Most Wanted Quattro Eyeshadow:

There are 4 colors in the palette, three are light and one is dark. The lighter ones are shimmery while the darkest one is matte and devoid of any shimmer. The colors are good enough for multiple looks, however the palette itself might not be able to complete one eye makeup. The lightest color is silvery white and is good enough to be used as a highlighter on the brow bones or to add a dimension to your inner corners. When used on the eyelid, it can help to show up and accentuate the color of other darker shadows.

The gold shadow is good as a highlighter and looks lovely on eyes, especially when paired with black or brown liners. It can be used by both fair and dusky ladies. I personally love this shade and it looks good with ethnic outfits. The third is sort of a pink-rose gold shade with shimmery finish. It can be used for a number of looks. However it might not look good on dusky skin tones. The last shade is a beautiful chocolate brown which has no shimmer, but has a metallic undertone. It looks amazing on the eyes and even photographs well. I have used it for creating smokey eyes and the end results have been really good.

Coming to the texture, the eye shadows have a silky touch and even the ones containing shimmer do not feel gritty. They are lightweight in texture and pearly in finish. The staying power is decent and the shadows stay for 3-4 hours. An eye makeup primer will increase the longevity by a couple of hours at least. There is some fallout. It is easy to blend the eye shadows and this can help in creating combinations with other shades you own. Overall a good choice with an affordable price tag!

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Essence 15 Most Wanted Quattro Eyeshadow?
With so many options, it is difficult to repurchase makeup items even if you like them. I personally love using this, and this will last me some time. Will surely explore this range. Definitely recommended!
