My Experience with Essence 57 In The Clouds Shimmer Effect Mono Eyeshadow:
The packaging is a simple circular transparent palette that closes with a dome-shaped lid. The brand name is mentioned in black on the lid. The shade name and other details are mentioned at the base of the palette. The packaging is simple and there is nothing special or fancy about it, but these are cute and sturdy.
“In the Clouds” is a shimmery sky blue-coloured eyeshadow. It is somewhat bluish grey kind of a shade. It contains so many silver shimmer particles that are finely milled. The texture of the eyeshadow is like the other eyeshadows from Essence cosmetics.
It is soft and smooth. It does not crease at all. It does not feel gritty. Application goes on super smooth. It glides on the eyelids so smoothly without any tugging or pulling. It has a little bit of fallout. The eyeshadow blends smoothly.
Overall, the application and blending is hassle free, but I need to be little bit extra careful due to the presence of shimmers in it. The pigmentation is average and not intense. So, multiple swipes are required for proper colour build up.
The staying power is 4 hours approximately without a primer. I cannot comment on its staying power with primer as I have not used it with a primer on. Overall, it is a good eyeshadow with quite a good pigmentation that you will need to build up.
Pros of Essence 57 In The Clouds Shimmer Effect Mono Eyeshadow:

- Does not feel gritty.

- Blends well.
- Glides easily.
- Average pigmentation.

Cons of Essence 57 In The Clouds Shimmer Effect Mono Eyeshadow:
- Fallout a bit.
- Pigmentation is not great.

Palak, would it be good for smokey eyes, with its shimmer, it looks so good 🙂
The shimmers are fine and they are not visible much upon blending it well. But if you try to build up colour it looks shimmery because the colour is light. Still I find it a good option to create blue smokey eyes. It does not look gaudy. 🙂
