Lovely lips: intensive pink and cool nude provide fabulous color accents in the spring and summer season of 2013. Thanks to the exact color-coded packaging, reaching for your favorite shade is now even easier. Available in five new and a total of 10 colors.

My Experience with Essence All About Cupcake Lipstick:
The packaging is pretty okay, it is plastic packaging. The color of the packaging is same as that of lipstick; it helps in selecting the shade. It is travel friendly, but not the best packaging. Essence has around 12- 14 shades in this line, but except all the other shades that I swatched, only 2-3 were without any shimmer, rest of the shades are shimmery and frosty finish. This shade is creamy, with no shimmer at all. The color is pink which leans a little towards n*de, with a hint of mauve. It will be a great MLBB shade for light skin tones. It might wash out darker skin tones. For reference, I am NC 40-42 in MAC, it does not wash me out, but in summers, when I get tanned, it does tend to wash me out a little. So, if you are darker skin tone, then this shade is not for you. It looks great and much better than many n*de lipsticks on me, when paired with a darker eye makeup. In the swatch, I have swiped it two times.
The texture is excellent; it is very creamy and great for dry lips. You can easily skip a lip balm underneath, but if you have super dry and chapped lips, then it is better to exfoliate them before applying any lipstick. It keeps my lips moisturized for around 2 hours, but even after that my lips do not feel dry. The pigmentation is a little sheer. In one swipe, you get some color payoff and in two swipes, I get complete color pay off, but if you have pigmented lips that you may need to swipe it three times.
In terms of texture and pigmentation, it is very similar to Revlon lip butter, but I like these a little more than those, as it lasts little longer on my lips. It stays on for around 2- 3 hours, and with a meal, it starts fading. It is not very long lasting, but I do not mind re-applying it. It does not settle much into fine lines and fades evenly. It smells kind of sweet and fruity, but it fades after some time.
Pros of Essence All About Cupcake Lipstick:
- Beautiful color – a must-have for light skin tones.
- Creamy and moisturizing.
- Not tested on animals.
- No shimmer or frost.
Cons of Essence All About Cupcake Lipstick:
- Sheer, need 2 – 3 swipes for complete color payoff.
- This shade will not suit dusky beauties.
- Not very long lasting.
- Not the best packaging.
Do I Recommend Essence All About Cupcake Lipstick?
It is not a must-have lipstick, but I like the shade a lot, its a perfect MLBB shade for light skin tones. If you can find a color shade, the n go ahead.
