Foundations and BB creams can really play a tricky role, especially, when you have combination skin. My skin starts to release oil after a few hours, which make my face excessively shiny and shabby. I got Essence All About Matt! Oil Free Make Up, the moment I saw it. It claimed to mattify my skin and that is exactly what I needed in my life.
Let us see, whether it actually lived up to it’s claims or not!
Rs 399 for 30 ml
The new all about matt! oil free make-up gives your complexion a matte effect to make it smooth and silky-soft. The long lasting formula lasts up to 12 hours and the oil-free texture would not block your pores. The new addition to the successful all about matt! range comes in a matching cool matt packaging.
My Experience with Essence All About Matt! Oil Free Make Up:
Essence All About Matt! Oil Free Make Up comes in skin colour and maroon packaging. I liked the tiny and sleek packaging. It would stay anywhere in all conditions, be it in your bag or a travel kit. It came for such a low price that this might be the cheapest foundation, I have used till date, I guess.
The bb creams and foundations from Essence have always done a good job, so I was expecting this to do a fair job too. The shade, I picked up is the lightest one among the 3 shades available. Their shade selection range is pretty low because I think with just 3 shades not everyone can find their match.
The liquid is very light in consistency and very easy to blend. Due to its consistency, it does not look cakey on the face at all. The coverage is pretty much buildable but even at the end, it would provide a medium coverage. It would mildly blur the dark circles and the minor blemishes but would not be that effective for big pimples and imperfections.
It does not feel heavy on the skin and hydrates skin very nicely. My skin does not dry out at any point of the time. It did stay true to its claims and totally mattified my skin, the moment I applied it. All the oil and excess shine were hidden under this. My face looked naturally glowing and brightened up. My skin looked healthy and was perfect for further make-up.
The so called “12HR” claim is not true. It does not stay longer than 3-4 hours but that is okay with me, because at this price, I cannot expect it to stay the entire day. It stayed for a good time and did what it said. So, if you have oily skin and start looking like an oil factory after a while of applying the foundation, then you got to try this one out!

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Essence All About Matt! Oil Free Make Up?
Yes I will. I will get it for the fact that it keeps my skin matte for long. Not all foundations do so, in-fact most of them are heavy and my skin turns oily in a while. This is a good one for daily use as well as for occasions if you do not want much coverage!
Essence BB creams and foundations are great for every-day use. If you have an oily skin, then this totally deserves a try.
