Essence All I Need Concealer Palette Review

Hali Halo Everyone!

I have been using Essence stick concealer regularly and am pretty satisfied with it. Now that Essence has released the new Concealer palette I had to try it. I know it looks more like a color corrector palette but it is called concealer palette. I knew that the green and pink is not for me but still bought it so that I could use the other three. This palette is very similar to the Catrice concealer palette.

My Experience with Essence All I Need Concealer Palette:

The packaging is nice and I have no complains about it. It comes in a thin flap container. There are five different colors for concealing or color correcting in circular pans. The pans are fixed. The lid opens and closes easily but securely. It is light weight and handy, making it very travel-friendly.

The green and pink are the two colors I just can’t manage to use. I tried using the green on my red blemishes under my foundation but it looked dark and I didn’t like the way it looked. I felt that using normal concealer gave me a better effect. The pink is supposed to be used under eyes dark circles. Fortunately I have no dark circles and didn’t know where else to use. The remaining three shades are perfect for concealing. They can me mixed and used to get the right color for concealing. I use the middle shade to conceal my blemishes and the next lighter shade to highlight my under eyes.

The consistency of all the five products is creamy. I usually pick the product with my finger and rub it in between two fingers to soften the product. Then I apply it on my skin. I have seen that the product feels patchy when applied directly on the skin. The product is kind of opaque and not very liquid-y. Hence it requires a little bit of heat from the fingers. Especially during the winter months it needs the little more blending else it is sure to look patchy.

Over all the concealer is good but not a must-have. One problem is you might use of one particular color and the rest goes waste. It is economical to buy a single color concealer in my opinion.

  1. this looked cute. sad it is not too impressive. i was wondering if the concealers crease under the eyes or stay fine throughout… I think it is a decent product for makeup artists. just a thought. 🙂

    1. Hi Rati, the concealer does crease under the eye. Yeah, as you mentioned it might be handy for makeup artists who work with different skin tones ????
