Essence All-In-One CC Cream Review

Hello cutie pies,

We already have a lot of amazing BB creams on the shelves out there, but the beauty industry never stops bringing forth new ones into the market.  Now, we also have CC creams that have proven to be better than BB creams. There is just one drugstore CC cream that I know and that’s from Lakme. I recently saw this BB cream Essence and got it so that I could finally decide which one was better.

Essence All-In-One CC Cream

Product Description:
The future belongs to multi-functional textures that conjure-up flawless results instantly and pamper your skin. As the name reveals, the all-in-one CC cream Clear and Correct covers irregularities of the skin, spots and redness as well as providing a smooth and soft complexion. the formula is airy and light yet offers a high coverage.  With an spf of 30, it is the foundation for a fresh complexion in the spring time.

My Experience with Essence All-In-One CC  Cream:

CC creams are not as popular as BB creams! Since the time I have tried Lakme CC cream, I am all over CC creams. Hence the moment I saw this cutie from Essence, I brought it home. The Essence CC cream comes in a nice sleek tube. The tube is tiny and hence I can carry it around. Price-wise, I feel it’s a little high as Lakme CC cream is available at half the price.  Due to the inverted packaging, I always notice a little product dripping from the tube into the cap, which leads to product wastage. Apart from that, it looks good as far as packaging is concerned.

Essence All-In-One CC Cream

Coming to the shade, I picked up the shade called “Natural,” because that is the only shade available 😛 I don’t know why they haven’t introduced more shades. The shade “Natural” would suit all the Asian skin tones very well, but I found it to be a little darker for my skin tone. I wouldn’t like my skin to look tanned! But it is okay, I often get tanned 😛

Essence All-In-One CC Cream

The consistency is runny and the cream glides smoothly on the skin. You can use your finger tips, sponge or a brush; anything that you are comfortable with! The CC cream is very much buildable and you can keep on dabbing more till you get your desired coverage. It provides medium coverage on my skin.

Essence All-In-One CC Cream

It conceals the redness around my mouth and nose area making the skin tone look very even. The complexion definitely looks improved and my face gets that glowing texture. The glow provided by the CC cream is very natural and it’s great for daily wear too. I wouldn’t complain that it did not cover my blemishes because it does not claim to do so. So, if you want to hide blemishes, then go for BB cream. It provides good hydration to my face and I am really happy that it contains SPF 30 which is why I will not have to apply a sunscreen, perfect for lazy girls! It does blur out the dark circles a little as well. The CC cream stays put for like 5-6 hours and then fades a bit. But I like that it does not oxidize and stays bright throughout. A very good CC cream to go with for every-day wear!

Essence All-In-One CC Cream

Pros of Essence All-In-One CC Cream:

  • Nice sleek tube, which is travel friendly.
  • Consistency is light and gentle on the skin, glides smoothly on my face.
  • Coverage is buildable, you can blend till you reach your desired coverage.
  • Contains SPF 30, I do not have to use a separate sunscreen.
  • Hides redness around my nose area and evens out the complexion.
  • Hides dark patches around my mouth and upper lip area.
  • Provides a satin smooth finish and adds glow to my skin.
  • My skin looks healthy when I use this, it does not make my skin look dull.

Cons of Essence All-In-One CC Cream:

  • Expensive as compared to Lakme CC cream.
  • The inverted packaging leads to product wastage.
  • Only one shade is available.
  • This shade will be a little darker for fair skin tones.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Essence All-In-One CC Cream?
No, I wouldn’t! I am a big fan of Lakme CC cream and Essence CC Cream works the same way. Lakme one is available at a lower price plus it’s easily available, then why pick this over Lakme?

IMBB Rating:
4/5

Those of you who haven’t really tried CC creams yet, you should totally do so now! Probably that would break your loyalty towards BB creams!

  1. I agree only one shade would not suit every skin tone… Btw I was just thinking ? how do you finish up so many base products???? I mean the recent hauls that u did had quite a few of them… Don’t mind just curious ?

    1. It might suit maximum skin tone but fair skin might just have a hesitance because it will make the skin look tan.. I have only 5-6 base products… lol did I say “Only” 🙂 ummm but you know I usually apply the BB creams and CC creams each time I get down because i am soo addicted to the natural glow.. and even though I am tired it makes me look super fresh.. i save the foundations for whole-day outings.. and I have my mommy to help me as we have the same skin tone 🙂 I usually finish up one BB cream in a month since tubes are sooo tiny.. hahaha no minding.. you are free to ask anything dear 🙂

    1. Yes totally will go with Lakme… it works the similar way and I can get 2 lakme at that price.. good deal right? this was decent too .. but I will stick to our beloved one 🙂

  2. i love these bb and cc creams saloni. I like how light and natural they feel on the skin. sounds pretty decent but seriously one shade for all skintones is not cool! very good and detailed review as always! 🙂

    1. I knowwww 🙂 these little cuties are filled wit simplicity and give such a cute natural glow 🙂 I wish they had atleast 3 shades.. than that would have done the trick 🙂 thank you soooo much 🙂 :-*
