Essence Black Mania Carbon Black Gloss Eye Pencil
Today, I will be reviewing one of my favorite kajal pencil which I am using a lot these days, its the Essence Black Mania Carbon Black Gloss Eye Pencil. I got this last year during my swiss haul.
The gloss eye pencil from the black mania series highlights your deep-black look with fabulous glossy accents. The particularly soft core makes it totally easy to apply and if you love the popular smokey eyes look, simply smudge the line carefully with your fingertip or a small brush.
My Experience with Essence Black Mania Carbon Black Gloss Eye Pencil:
I have never been a kajal girl as I have quite deep rooted eyes and lots of dark circles and using a kajal makes my eyes appear even smaller and also accentuates my dark circles! But sometimes, I love to define my eyes and for that I usually use a black eye liner on top of lash line and waterline. The pencil is extremely soft and glides on your eyes. Its creamy nature makes it very easier to be smudged to get that soft smokey look! The pigmentation is fabulous and one line gives you nice dark color!
I wear contacts and never once it has irritated my eyes. It stays on my water line for 6 to 7 hours and starts to fade away slowly. It does not come off completely until I use a makeup remover, so its quite handy for all office-going girls! The only problem I face and that too sometimes is that it makes my eyes water which I really do not like. After smudged, if set using a black eyeshadow, it will stay on forever and does not budge!
So, overall I would say its quite a good kajal pencil which does not smudge and give you raccoon eyes! I am totally loving this! Yesterday early morning, I was in a mood to experiment a bit and did this smokey eye by using this kajal all over my eyelids and smudging it. I then used a matte black eyeshadow to set it. This is the first time ever I tried a smokey look and I am quite happy with it 🙂 Also, I don’t have anything on my face apart from some concealer under eyes, so please excuse my bad skin.
Let’s quickly check out pros and cons:
Pros of Essence Black Mania Carbon Black Gloss Eye Pencil:
- Highly pigmented and creamy, glides on the eyes.
- One stroke is enough to line your eyes.
- Does not smudge or spread.
- Does not lead to raccoon eyes.
- Perfect for creating soft and bold smokey looks.
- Once set with an eyeshadow, stays put the whole day!
- Extremely affordable and cheap.
- Safe for sensitive eyes and girls wearing contacts lenses.
Cons of Essence Black Mania Carbon Black Gloss Eye Pencil:
- Sometimes it makes my eyes water.
- Not available in India 🙁
I think 2 or 3 swiss francs which is less than 150 INR 🙂
I totally recommend this to everyone who is in search of a reasonably priced, creamy and highly pigmented-kajal which does not make you appear like a raccoon!
